Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Phil Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gastao Gaspar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davis comes to the cage accompanied by Sick Puppies-Youre going down. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Phil Davis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gastao Gaspar! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Daniel Cesar and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davis throws a right hand that Gaspar ducks under and follows up with a left that Gaspar also avoids with ease. Davis shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Gaspar manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Davis thows a big elbow that misses. Gaspar is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Davis content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Davis pushes down on Gaspar's leg and manages to get into half guard. Davis thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gaspar's head. Gaspar wants to get back to his feet. Davis sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Gaspar defending well though. Davis working Gaspar over with strikes. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gaspar can do anything to dispel that myth. Gaspar is trying to stand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Gaspar keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Gaspar taking some punishment here, with Davis in his half guard. Davis not landing any meaningful shots this time. Gaspar blocking the ground and pound attempt from Davis. Davis trying to control from half guard but Gaspar is working away. Gaspar avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Davis. Davis working Gaspar over with strikes. Davis thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gaspar's head. Davis passes to side control. Davis creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Davis working the ground and pound but Gaspar is defending the strikes. Davis lands some shots froms side control. Davis throws a strike aimed at the side of Gaspar's head but Gaspar avoids it well. Davis has knee on belly and moves into mount. Davis with the ground and pound from mount. A nice elbow there by Davis. Gaspar is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Davis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Davis trying to control but he's not successful this time. Gaspar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Davis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Davis postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Gaspar looks a forlorn figure.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis with good strikes from the mount here! Gaspar wants to try and get back to his feet. Davis looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Davis raining down shots from the mount! Davis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Davis cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Davis looking to finish Gaspar with some ground and pound. This is bad for Gaspar! Davis throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Davis lands a big shot there that rocks Gaspar but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
This has been an exciting period of action! The referee warns Gaspar that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Gaspar is in a horrible position here. Davis smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
A nice elbow there by Davis. Davis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Davis cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Davis lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Gaspar hang on? Davis in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Davis pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Gaspar is rocked! Davis working away from the top, dropping strikes. Gaspar is still in real trouble! Can Davis finish him? The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Davis sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Gaspar seems to have recovered his senses. Davis fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Phil Davis dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Gaspar swings widly with a right hand
and Davis counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Gaspar thinking. Gaspar misses with a looping left. Gaspar rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Davis counters with a stiff right hand. Davis misses with a few strikes there.
Horrible takedown by Davis or perhaps it was just good defense by Gaspar which made him look bad. Gaspar ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. A cross from Davis lands. Davis misses with a series of wild punches.

That's one minute gone in the round. Davis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Phil Davis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Davis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gaspar manages to avoid it. Davis throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling Gaspar to counter with a crisp jab. Davis fails with a takedown attempt. Davis misses with a lunging right hand
and Gaspar counters with a crisp right hand that drops Davis! Gaspar lets Davis back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Davis is rocked!
It looks like Phil Davis has been cut. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Davis misses with a combination
and Gaspar counters with a right hand from hell and Davis is out cold! A vicious knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Gastao Gaspar!
