Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pete Sproles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heavy Damage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sproles comes to the cage accompanied by can't be touched -Roy Jones Jr. Damage has chosen South Afrika as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 8 - 1, fighting out of London, Pete Sproles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Heavy Damage! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Glass and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A momentary lapse in concentration from Damage enables Sproles to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Damage manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Sproles wants to control from the top but Damage keeps moving. Damage controls Sproles momentarily but Sproles frees himself. Sproles controls from within his opponent's guard.
Pete Sproles has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Damage scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Damage thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Sproles can't do much from the bottom here. Damage tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Damage decides to take the fight back to the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Damage tries to land a front kick but Sproles steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Sproles drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Sproles stopping the sweep attempt from Damage. Sproles looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Sproles seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Damage for as long as he can get away with. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Pete Sproles wasn't doing enough on the ground. Sproles swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Sproles takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Sproles shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Damage napping and manages to drive through into side control! Sproles fails to land a wild elbow strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Damage is trying to control Sproles's posture but Sproles avoids it. A lull in the action here as Sproles stalls from top position. An elbow from Sproles crashes against the mat.
Sproles tries to advance to mount but can't. Damage is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Damage trying to remain calm as Sproles controls from the top position. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

That's three minutes gone in the round. A punch combination from Damage misses. Damage misses with a shot to the body and Sproles finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Sproles wants to clinch. Sproles swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Sproles takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Damage cracks Sproles with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Sproles looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Damage is looking for a sweep. Sproles is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Sproles is figuring out what he wants to do next. Damage is looking to improve his position.
Damage tries to kick Sproles off but Sproles keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
We're going to have a standup here because Pete Sproles wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Damage dives in and grabs Sproles's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sproles pushes down on Damage's head and hops out. Damage shoots in for a double leg but Sproles sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Sproles tries to clinch up but Damage circles away and keeps his distance. Damage throws a head kick but Sproles moves out of range.
Damage shoots in and drives through. Sproles sprawls well. Pete Sproles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Heavy Damage. Damage looks gassed! Damage dodges the punch combination from Sproles.
Sproles closes the distance and clinches. Damage lands with a left to the head. Sproles lands a body shot in the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Damage fails to pull guard.

Damage misses with a low kick.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. No joy there for Sproles, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Damage doesn't succeed with the takedown and Sproles counters with a head kick. That will keep Damage thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Sproles shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Sproles was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pete Sproles dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Sproles changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Damage looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Damage is not content to let Sproles control the position. Sproles looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Damage is avoiding damage well.
Damage tries to buck Sproles off but Sproles is having none of it. The strikes coming from Sproles are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Damage tries to buck Sproles off but Sproles is having none of it. Sproles controls the position from side control. Damage is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Sproles's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Damage avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Sproles. Sproles wants to control but Damage is keeping him busy. Sproles not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sproles in particular looking to stall. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Sproles throwing shots but Damage is blocking nicely. Damage actively working from the bottom here. Sproles has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Sproles prevents Damage from improving his position. Well, if Sproles is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Sproles throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Damage was covering up waiting for the punch and Sproles finishes the takedown easily into guard. Damage looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Sproles stands and throws Damage's legs to the side, diving into side control. Damage tries to get back to half guard but can't. Sproles trying to control the action but Damage is working from the bottom. Damage wants to control but Sproles postures up. Damage dodges the ground and pound from Sproles. Sproles wants to control but Damage is keeping him busy. Damage gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sproles perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Damage makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Damage. Sproles not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Pete Sproles. Sproles tries to close the distance and clinch up but Damage swats him away and circles back towards the center. Damage throws a right and a left that both miss. Sproles is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Sproles throws a series of punches but Damage moves out of range. Damage throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Sproles clinches. Sproles gets underhooks to prevent Damage's takedown attempt.
Damage has Sproles pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Damage pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Sproles tumbling to the mat - Damage dives into Sproles's guard. Damage won't allow Sproles to sweep him here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Damage trying to control the position from guard on top but Sproles is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sproles wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Sproles keeping moving, preventing Damage from controlling successfully. Damage stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sproles swivels though and keeps the full guard. Damage must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Heavy Damage. The fight stays on the outside here - Sproles looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Sproles is looking to clinch. Damage connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Sproles momentarily.
Damage fails to land the takedown. Sproles pulls out of a head kick attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sproles advances to half guard. Sproles is thwarting Damage's attempts to control the position. Sproles not landing any meaningful shots this time. Sproles frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Pete Sproles overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Damage tries to hold on but Sproles postures up. Sproles content just to control the position here. Damage is working to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sproles controlling the position easily from mount. Sproles's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Damage working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Damage takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Sproles is holding Damage down, trying to stall. Damage tries to get to his feet but Sproles is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Damage in his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sproles looking for a sweep. Not yet Sproles, not yet. Sproles not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Sproles is controlling Damage's posture. Damage drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Sproles manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Damage has Sproles in his guard. Damage is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sproles defends well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sproles controlling from the top position. Damage is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Sproles wants to control from the top but Damage keeps moving. Sproles is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
We're going to have a standup here because Pete Sproles wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Sproles tries to clinch but Damage is having none of it. Heavy Damage has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Pete Sproles is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Sproles sizes up Damage with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
And that's the end of the fight! Pete Sproles showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sproles, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
