Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jerome Drogba! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Martin Hawk! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hawk shoots in for a double leg but Drogba sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Hawk throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Drogba was covering up waiting for the punch and Hawk finishes the takedown easily into guard. Drogba is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Drogba is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hawk trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Drogba is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hawk is controlling him. Hawk trying to control but Drogba is working from the bottom. Drogba looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Hawk throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Hawk takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Drogba shoots in but doesn't get the takedown so Hawk counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Drogba is breathing heavily. Hawk advances position into side control! Hawk wants to lay and pray for a moment but Drogba keeps working. Hawk laying and praying for a moment but Drogba takes advantage and regains half guard. Drogba is staying active underneath Hawk, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hawk looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Hawk tries to stand but can't do so whilst Drogba controls his leg. Drogba looks like he's trying to stand up.
Still in half guard, Hawk seems content to control.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Martin Hawk hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Hawk tries to clinch up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Drogba gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hawk to score an easy takedown into full guard. Hawk trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Hawk is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Drogba working a defensive guard here.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Martin Hawk. Hawk scores a takedown into full mount! Hawk has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Drogba's face.
Hawk scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Drogba blocking the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Martin Hawk dominated that round. That's time! Drogba's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Hawk drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Hawk really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Drogba. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hawk won't allow Drogba to get back to his feet. Drogba wriggles free and stands up. Hawk drives through and clinches with Drogba against the cage.

Hawk pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Drogba takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Hawk scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Hawk decides to stand back up. Hawk steps back and let's Drogba get back to his feet. Hawk gets the takedown into side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hawk looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hawk has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Drogba wants to clinch but Hawk slips to the side and Hawk counters by clinching up. Drogba breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hawk closes this distance looking for a takedown but Drogba circles away. Drogba shoots and misses and Hawk counters with a nice body kick.
Drogba gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Hawk counters with a nice double leg into side control. Drogba won't be happy with that. Drogba is trying to control Hawk's posture but Hawk avoids it. Drogba is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Hawk asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hawk moves into full mount! Drogba tries to buck Hawk off but Hawk takes his back! So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Hawk is controlling the position but Drogba somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hawk stops Drogba from getting back to his feet.
Drogba won't allow Hawk to pass to mount. Drogba is not content to let Hawk control the position. Drogba is trying to stand up here but Hawk is controlling him well. Hawk is looking to advance position but Drogba won't allow it. Hawk is trying to control. Drogba wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Martin Hawk has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Hawk looks for a takedown but Drogba sprawls well. Hawk gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Drogba to score an easy takedown into full guard. Hawk wants to control but Drogba passes easily into half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hawk is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Drogba jumps into side control! Drogba wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hawk, who protects the arm well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Martin Hawk showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Hawk is stalling in the full guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Hawk trying to control but Drogba is working from the bottom.

Drogba got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hawk has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Drogba has managed to get both his arms back between Hawk's legs - danger averted.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hawk controls Drogba momentarily but Drogba frees himself. Hawk looking for a guillotine here but Drogba defends easily.
Drogba in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Drogba trying to control the position from guard on top but Hawk is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Drogba is fighting to break Hawk's control of his arms but Hawk is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Drogba pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hawk is keeping the position for now. Drogba is working hard here to advance position. Hawk wants to control the position but Drogba says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Drogba missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Jerome Drogba has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Martin Hawk is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Hawk trying to control but Drogba postures up.
And that's the end of the fight! Martin Hawk comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Hawk winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
