Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nick Quick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akihito Tatsuhiko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Quick might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Indestructible, by Disturbed. Tatsuhiko has chosen Save Yourself as his entrance music. Akihito Tatsuhiko has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Nick Quick! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Akihito Tatsuhiko! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Chris Edwards and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tatsuhiko throws a right and a left that Quick avoids nicely. Tatsuhiko throws a shot from downtown. Quick moves away and avoids it. Tatsuhiko tries to clinch up. Tatsuhiko scores with a head kick. Quick tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Tatsuhiko throws a poor cross that misses
and Quick counters with a shoot takedown. Tatsuhiko fights it but they end up in guard. Tatsuhiko is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Quick got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tatsuhiko has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Quick has managed to get both his arms back between Tatsuhiko's legs - danger averted. Tatsuhiko pushes Quick off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Quick shoots in for a takedown but Tatsuhiko shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Quick closes the distance and clinches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tatsuhiko stalling in the clinch but Quick improves position. Quick wants a takedown but no success here.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Quick. That's going to take a lot out of him. Quick looking for a takedown. Quick tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Tatsuhiko smiles and moves away.
Tatsuhiko dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Tatsuhiko is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Tatsuhiko tries to clinch up. Tatsuhiko blocks a head kick by Quick.
Quick shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tatsuhiko but Tatsuhiko pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quick closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Tatsuhiko jumps into guard, dragging Quick to the mat.
Quick is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Quick trying to control the position from guard on top but Tatsuhiko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tatsuhiko trying to keep a closed guard but Quick is proving a slippery customer.
Tatsuhiko wants to get back to his feet but Quick is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Tatsuhiko is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Quick is aware though and is defending well. Quick decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Quick throws a looping overhand right but Tatsuhiko ducks down to avoid it. Tatsuhiko throws a head kick that misses and Quick counters by clinching up. Quick has Tatsuhiko pressed against the cage, preventing Tatsuhiko from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Quick tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Tatsuhiko breaks from the clinch.
Tatsuhiko lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Quick backs up against the cage.
Tatsuhiko manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Quick on his heels. He'll look to pass Quick's guard now, I'm sure. Quick is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tatsuhiko defends well. Quick wants to stand up but Tatsuhiko is controlling him. Quick is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Quick will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Tatsuhiko wants to get up but he can't break Quick's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Tatsuhiko stands up from Quick's guard - Tatsuhiko perhaps looking for a knockout. Tatsuhiko moves in looking to clinch but Quick pushes him off. Tatsuhiko walks into a left hand. Quick throws a predictable looking body shot
letting Tatsuhiko counter with a right hand. Quick lands a nice hook to Tatsuhiko's body. Tatsuhiko takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Akihito Tatsuhiko will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Tatsuhiko tries to clinch but Quick is having none of it. Quick circles away from the clinch attempt and Quick counters with a stiff right hand. Tatsuhiko throws a combination that misses and Quick counters with a lovely straight right hand! Tatsuhiko tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Quick manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Quick misses with a hook
and Tatsuhiko holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Tatsuhiko is trying to force a seperation but Quick has the dominant position. Quick has Tatsuhiko pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Tatsuhiko manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Tatsuhiko pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Tatsuhiko gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
That's one minute gone in the round. A frustrated look appears on Tatsuhiko's face as he tries to break the clinch. Tatsuhiko breaks from the clinch.
Tatsuhiko throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Tatsuhiko takes one to the chin there. Quick swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Tatsuhiko bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Quick's head. Tatsuhiko comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Quick takes a kick to the side of the head. Tatsuhiko avoids the head kick by Quick.
Quick has managed to clinch.
Quick pushes off an throws an elbow but Tatsuhiko leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Quick pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Tatsuhiko takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

and Quick counters with a right hand to the body. Quick shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Tatsuhiko counters with a body kick. Tatsuhiko looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Some wild striking there from Quick.
Quick moves forwards but Tatsuhiko connects with a nice, crisp jab. Tatsuhiko with a jab. Quick throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tatsuhiko's waist but Tatsuhiko gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Quick off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Quick. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tatsuhiko waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Quick. Tatsuhiko throws a lazy head kick so Quick counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tatsuhiko has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Quick can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Tatsuhiko pushes Quick off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Nick Quick will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Tatsuhiko lands with a kick to the temple. Quick shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Quick has taken the fight to the clinch.

Quick drops down looking for an ankle pick but Tatsuhiko pulls his leg out and moves away.
A head kick from Tatsuhiko lands but Quick takes it in his stride. Quick moves into the clinch. Quick prevents Tatsuhiko from breaking the clinch.

Tatsuhiko throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Quick counters with a nice uppercut. Tatsuhiko shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Quick napping and manages to drive through into side control! Tatsuhiko stands up. Tatsuhiko gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Quick. Tatsuhiko fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nick Quick is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Quick circles away from the clinch attempt.
Quick looks to land a combination. Tatsuhiko sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Akihito Tatsuhiko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tatsuhiko slips a jab and a cross from Quick.
Quick tries for a takedown but Tatsuhiko circles away easily and Tatsuhiko counters with a left and a right that stings Quick. Tatsuhiko misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Quick is trying hard to land a takedown here. Tatsuhiko sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Quick. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tatsuhiko connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Quick momentarily.

and Quick counters with a stiff right hand. Quick throws a series of strikes that have Tatsuhiko backpedaling.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tatsuhiko rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Quick counters with a takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Quick decides to stand up, so the ref orders Tatsuhiko to his feet. A punch lands to the side of Tatsuhiko 's head but he takes it in his stride. Sloppy strikes from Quick. Those never looked like landing. Tatsuhiko closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tatsuhiko lands in his opponent's guard. Quick working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tatsuhiko doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tatsuhiko manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Tatsuhiko won't allow Quick to sweep him here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tatsuhiko stands up and waves to Quick to follow him. Quick jabbing away but nothing is landing. Tatsuhiko is looking to land body kicks. Quick rushes Tatsuhiko and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Tatsuhiko unloads a knee to the mid-section. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Quick tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Tatsuhiko just stands there and leans against the cage. Quick has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Tatsuhiko is trying to keep an underhook but Quick manages to get the takedown into half guard. Quick decides to return to a standing position.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nick Quick. I think Quick has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
