Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tyrone Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Starkey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Starkey is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Cock Sparrer - England Belongs To Me. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tyrone Wallace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, George Starkey!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Atkins and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Starkey counters with a nice double leg into side control. Wallace won't be happy with that.
Wallace sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Starkey is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Starkey is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wallace is just riding it out for now. Starkey eventually gives up the hold.
Wallace gets back to full guard.
Wallace looking for a sweep. Not yet Wallace, not yet.
Starkey works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Starkey frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Wallace really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Wallace wants to control but Starkey is having none of it.
Starkey is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent.
Wallace can't escape the position.
Starkey wants to get back to his feet but Wallace is holding on tight.

Starkey goes for an armbar but Wallace turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Wallace.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Wallace content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Wallace wants to control from the top but Starkey keeps moving.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Starkey wants to stand up but Wallace is controlling him.
Starkey keeping moving, preventing Wallace from controlling successfully.

Wallace content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Wallace looking to sit in guard and control but Starkey gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Wallace escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Starkey gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Starkey wanted to stand there but Wallace had control of the position.
Wallace will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Wallace working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Starkey doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Starkey manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Starkey is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Wallace is trying to keep Starkey in close.

Wallace is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Wallace landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Starkey is trying to stand back up but Wallace is controlling him
Wallace seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Starkey does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Wallace not doing much here.
Wallace's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

That was a close round but I would say that Tyrone Wallace will probably get the nod.

and Starkey decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wallace's guard.
Starkey has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Wallace is proving hard to escape from.
George Starkey has got the better of the ground game so far.
Wallace manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Starkey manages to get himself to full guard.

Starkey uses the cage to get back to his feet.

and Starkey counters with a right hand to the body.

Starkey throws out a loose jab but Wallace uses good head movement to avoid it.

Wallace is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Starkey's half guard.

Starkey is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Starkey is breathing heavily.

Starkey is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Wallace pulls his head out easily.

Wallace lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Starkey is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Wallace scores with a couple of nice shots.
Starkey looks like he's trying to stand up.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Wallace connects with a nice short shot to Starkey's temple.
Wallace is trying to control the action in half guard but Starkey is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Wallace stops Starkey from getting back to his feet.
Wallace has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Wallace seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Starkey tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Wallace has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Starkey defend it? Wallace steps over the head and cranks it - Starkey is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Wallace!
