Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boo Yah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Blues (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Boo Yah!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jake Blues!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blues closes the distance and clinches.
Yah has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Blues is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Blues wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Yah has him pressed against the cage.

Blues has Yah pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Blues pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Yah tumbling to the mat - Blues dives into Yah's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Yah has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Blues off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
A slapping leg kick lands for Yah.
Blues shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Yah pinned against the cage. Yah gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Yah wants to clinch but Blues slips to the side

and Blues counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Yah!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Yah sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Yah manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Yah looking to control.

Blues decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Yah, up you get!
Blues's corner calls for a 1-2. Blues obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Blues avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Blues throws a right and a left that Yah avoids nicely.

Blues shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Yah manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Blues trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Yah trying to control the position.

Yah is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Blues is aware though and is defending well.
Yah trying to keep a closed guard but Blues is proving a slippery customer.
Blues really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Yah. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Blues works over Yah with some ground and pound from guard.
Yah on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Yah tries to get out of the position.

Yah is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Yah goes for a takedown attempt but Blues pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Yah lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Blues circles away quickly and effectively.

Blues clinches.

Blues has hold of one of Yah's legs. Yah is fighting the takedown attempt but Blues gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Blues preventing the sweep.
Blues must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Blues controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Blues sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Yah's guard.
Blues wants to control but Yah is keeping him busy.
Yah has hold of Blues's hands but Blues slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Yah tries to get to full guard but Blues has control of the leg.
Blues is controlling the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Yah wants to control but Blues is keeping busy.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Yah manages to get to full guard.
Yah is trying to keep Blues in close.
Blues trying to control the position from guard on top but Yah is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Yah tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Yah is working hard here to advance position.
Yah manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Blues manages to get himself to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Blues trying to keep a closed guard but Yah is proving a slippery customer.
Yah trying to control the position from guard on top but Blues is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Yah wants to pass the guard but Blues is keeping the position.
Yah prevents Blues from getting back to his feet.
Yah has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Blues is proving hard to escape from.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Blues feints and as Yah raises his hands in defense, Blues changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Yah wants to sweep but no luck.
Yah lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Blues!
Yah trying to control but he's not successful this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jake Blues dominated that round.

A head kick misses from Yah.

Blues is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Yah's half guard.
Blues trying to control the pace.
The fighters are battling for position here. Yah manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Blues won't allow Yah to sweep him here.
Blues trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Blues is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Blues wants to control from the top but Yah keeps moving.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Blues tries to free his leg and advance position but Yah is retaining full guard.

Yah is trying to control the position but Blues postures up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Blues fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Yah, pushing him back against the cage.
Blues stalls.

Yah decides to pull guard.
Blues trying to control but Yah is working from the bottom.
Blues stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Yah swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Yah is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Blues with a nice head shot there.
Yah wants to get back to his feet but Blues is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Yah bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Blues's guard.
Yah might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Yah postures up.
Yah wants to get up but he can't break Blues's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Jake Blues has got the better of the ground game so far.
Blues trying to control the position.
Blues trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Yah trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Yah trying to control but Blues is working from the bottom.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Yah thows a big elbow that misses.
Yah trying to control the position from guard on top but Blues is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Blues fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Sloppy strikes from Blues. Those never looked like landing.

Yah gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Blues to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Yah manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Blues manages to get himself to full guard.
Yah pushing down on Blues's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Yah missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Yah is looking for a kimura but Blues is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Yah to get the leverage.
Yah works his way into side control.
Yah trying to control the position but Blues is working away.
Yah misses with the ground and pound.

Blues is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Yah is controlling him well.
Blues is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Yah decides to stand up, so the ref orders Blues to his feet.

Blues shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Blues postures up and lands a big shot to Yah's brow.
Blues looking to sit in guard and control but Yah gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Yah postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jake Blues showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Blues closes the distance and clinches up with Yah, looking for a takedown. Blues pushes Yah against the cage but Yah circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Yah throws a nice inside leg kick.
Blues tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Yah swivels and escapes.
Blues keeps the fight on the outside.
Yah tries a head kick but it misses.
Yah lands a leg kick that knocks Blues off balance momentarily.
Yah lands a nice leg kick that just misses Blues's sensitive parts.
Yah tries to clinch but Blues moves out of range.
Yah shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Blues counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Yah is working for takedown but Blues is calmly controlling the position for now.
Yah stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Yah manages to break the clinch.
A nice inside leg kick there by Yah. That's going to slow Blues down.
Blues shoots in and drives through. Yah sprawls well.
Boo Yah has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Blues.

Blues tries to clinch up but Yah circles away and keeps his distance.
Blues takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
A solid leg kick lands there for Yah.
Yah fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Blues has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Good leg kick by Yah there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Blues circles away from the clinch attempt.
Blues's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
A right-left combo lands from Yah.
Yah throws an off balance right hand

and Blues counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Blues.
Yah is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Yah looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Blues shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Yah napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Yah sneaks back into half guard.

Yah flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Blues drops an elbow to the side of Yah's head.
Yah trying to hold on to Blues's head to control him but Blues postures up.
Yah is looking to improve his position.
Blues is trying to control. Yah wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Yah trying to hold on to Blues's head to control him but Blues postures up.
Yah gets back to full guard.
Yah working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Blues.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Blues postures up in Yah's guard and throws a big left but Yah blocks it.
Yah tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Blues trying to control but Yah is working from the bottom.
Jake Blues is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Yah lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Blues!
Blues working to try and regain half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Yah goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Blues is on top in guard.
Boo Yah has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Blues is stalling in the full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Boo Yah showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Blues has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
