Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brian Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jasper Corpuz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Penn's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Go To Church. Corpuz has chosen Smoke two joints - Sublime as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Brian Penn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jasper Corpuz!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corpuz falls off balance throwing a combination
and Penn cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Corpuz gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Penn.
Corpuz takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Corpuz bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Penn tries to bench press Corpuz off him but Corpuz keeps the position.

Corpuz goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Penn rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Corpuz's guard! Nice work there by Penn!
Corpuz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Corpuz trying to control the position.
Penn wants to control from the top but Corpuz keeps moving.

Penn decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Corpuz, up you get!
Corpuz slips under a jab.

Corpuz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Penn sprawls well initially but Corpuz persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Penn is looking to escape.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Corpuz trying to control from Penn's half guard. Penn has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Penn throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Penn wants to sweep here but Corpuz controlling him for the moment.
Penn is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Corpuz is controlling him.
Penn looking to hit a scissor sweep but Corpuz is one step ahead there.
Corpuz wants to control from the top but Penn keeps moving.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Penn uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Penn misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Corpuz closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Penn did well to prevent Corpuz getting side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Penn trying to hold on to Corpuz's head to control him but Corpuz postures up.
Corpuz prevents Penn from improving his position.
Corpuz trying to control the action but Penn is working from the bottom.

Penn is doing well to control the position and prevent Corpuz from advancing to side control.
Corpuz performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jasper Corpuz was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Corpuz shoots and misses
and Penn counters with a stiff right hand.
Corpuz gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Penn counters with a left to the body.
Corpuz looks gassed!
Corpuz swings away with a body shot that misses
and Penn connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Corpuz with a poor takedown
and Penn counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Brian Penn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jasper Corpuz.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brian Penn dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Penn lands the left hand.
Corpuz doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Penn counters with a straight right hand.
Corpuz slips a jab from Penn.
A lazy left from Penn finds it's target.
Penn feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Corpuzs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Corpuz uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Penn.
Corpuz shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Penn counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Penn lands a jab.
Corpuz tries to clinch but Penn moves away
and Penn counters with a nice body shot.
Corpuz is breathing heavily.
Corpuz takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Penn fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Corpuz shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Penn is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Corpuz misses with a takedown attempt
and Penn counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Corpuz thinking.
Brian Penn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jasper Corpuz.
Corpuz ducks right into an uppercut from Penn.
Penn takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Penn rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Corpuz moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Penn lands a right hook to the body.
Corpuz gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Penn counters with a nice uppercut.
Penn works Corpuz's body with a nice hook.
Penn changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
A shot to the liver by Penn. Beautiful body shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Penn clobbers Corpuz with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A decent looking cross lands there for Penn.
Brian Penn is winning the standup battle so far.
Corpuz takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.


Corpuz is rocked!
Penn lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Corpuz is still on wobbly legs! Can Penn finish him?
Corpuz glances at the clock... BAM! Penn nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Corpuz crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Corpuz is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Brian Penn!
