Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tadashi Yamashita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kasinova Gurama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gurama fails with the takedown
and Yamashita connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Yamashita!
It looks like Kasinova Gurama has been cut.
Yamashita swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gurama shoots in and gets a takedown into Yamashita's guard.
Yamashita working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Gurama has passed into half guard!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Yamashita is not content to let Gurama control the position.
Gurama is controlling the pace.

Gurama not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Gurama wants to lay and pray for a moment but Yamashita keeps working.
Gurama slips a nice elbow through Yamashita's hands, connecting with Yamashita's forehead.
Gurama is looking to advance position but Yamashita won't allow it.
Yamashita is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gurama pulls his head out easily.

Gurama has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Gurama is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Yamashita defends it well.
Gurama wants to control but Yamashita is keeping him busy.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Yamashita wants to get back to full guard but Gurama has mounted him!
Yamashita can't escape the position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Gurama has hold of Yamashita's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Yamashita manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Yamashita really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Gurama lands a nice shot to the head.
Yamashita sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Yamashita tries to roll over but Gurama keeps him under control.

Yamashita is breathing heavily.
Gurama looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Yamashita with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Gurama is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Gurama winds up and cracks Yamashita with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Gurama is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Gurama is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Gurama seems to be working for a kimura but Yamashita defends the submission attempt.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Gurama in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Yamashita tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Gurama!
