9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mario Nicks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trent Masters! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Jorge Garcia and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Masters connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Masters misses with a wild body shot. Masters looks to score with a jab to the body but Nicks is just out of range. Nicks just misses with a punch to the body.
Masters misses with a hook
and Nicks counters with a stiff right hand. Nicks uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Masters throws a lazy head kick and Nicks counters with a left to the body. Good leg kick by Nicks there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Trent Masters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nicks lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Nicks lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Masters at a distance.
The crowd cheers as Nicks lands an impressive looking overhand right. Masters doesn't seem phased though. Nicks fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Masters. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A nice leg kick lands there from Nicks. Masters shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Masters's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Nicks connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Masters scrambles back to his feet. Masters misses the body punch and Nicks counters with a leg kick. Masters gets off balance looking for a body kick and Nicks makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Nicks throws a combination. Masters tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Nicks lands a high kick!
Masters is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
