And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Damian Grabowski!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grabowski tries for a takedown but Dangle circles away easily
and Dangle counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Dangle throws a combination that misses
letting Grabowski counter with a right hand.
Grabowski doesn't manage to clinch there - Dangle circles away.

Grabowski throws a looping overhand right but Dangle ducks down to avoid it.
Grabowski misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Dangle misses with a double jab

and Grabowski counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dangle is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Dangle thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Grabowski to regain full guard.

Grabowski looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Grabowski has momentary wrist control but Dangle slips an elbow through the middle.

Grabowski is looking to stand up but Dangle isn't so interested in that idea.
Grabowski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That was a close round but I would say that Jim Dangle will probably get the nod.

Dangle bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Grabowski shoots in for a takedown but Dangle shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

The fight stays on the outside here - Grabowski looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Grabowski connects with a nice short shot to Dangle's temple.

Dangle working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Grabowski doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Grabowski manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Grabowski throws a hook to the side of Dangle's head but Dangle sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dangle pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

and Dangle counters with a three punch combo that has Grabowski backing up. Grabowski nods at Dangle to acknowledge the strikes.
Dangle avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Grabowski misses with an uppercut.
Dangle looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Grabowski is fending him off so far but Dangle persists. Nope, Grabowski circles away and we're back to standing.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Dangle goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Dangle is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Grabowski's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Grabowski's back!

Grabowski is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Grabowski is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Dangle off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Grabowski is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Dangle off. It looks like it's working - Dangle slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Grabowski displaying calm under pressure there.
Grabowski might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Grabowski takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
