Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jaan Banaan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Syd Pepper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pepper wants to clinch.
Pepper looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Banaan is fending him off so far but Pepper persists. Nope, Banaan circles away and we're back to standing.
Pepper shoots in but Banaan avoids the takedown attempt easily.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Pepper checks a leg kick.
Banaan scores with a jab to the head.
Banaan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Banaan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pepper keeps working.
Banaan throws an elbow but Pepper slips to the side and avoids it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Banaan working away.
Banaan fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Banaan creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Pepper sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Pepper has control of an arm but Banaan manages to advance to Banaan's back!
Pepper trying to control the position but Banaan manages to sink in the hooks.
Banaan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Pepper is trying to break free.
Banaan is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Banaan gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Banaan gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Banaan apologises and we restart here on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Pepper tries to clinch there but Banaan circles away.
Pepper tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Banaan swivels and escapes.
Jaan Banaan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Syd Pepper.
Banaan fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Pepper looks gassed!
Pepper dodges the punch combination from Banaan.
Banaan throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Banaan misses with a head kick.
Banaan throws a shot to the body.
Banaan listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Pepper is rocked!
Banaan is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - Pepper is in big trouble! Banaan is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking Pepper. Poor guy.
