The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man scores with a spinning back kick!
Schmoe Jr shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Man manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Schmoe Jr advances position into side control!
Schmoe Jr decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Man shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Schmoe Jr counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Schmoe Jr.
Schmoe Jr is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Schmoe Jr seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Man for as long as he can get away with.
Schmoe Jr lands a couple of elbows.

Schmoe Jr keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Man's head.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Joe Schmoe Jr has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Schmoe Jr closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Man wants to get back to his feet but Schmoe Jr is dominant here and he's now got Man's back!
Man looks gassed!
Schmoe Jr controlling the position well here. Man rolled but Schmoe Jr kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Schmoe Jr is cranking Man's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Man! He's tightened the choke and Man is tapping out!
