Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joseph T O Callahan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Atilla Da (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). O Callahan's entrance music is More human than human - White Zombie. A fine choice. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joseph T O Callahan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Atilla Da!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da pivots, looking for a leg kick but O Callahan is out of range and Da settles back down.
O Callahan slips a jab and a cross from Da.
Da feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to O Callahan's calf.
O Callahan lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Da closes the distance and clinches.
Da goes for a takedown in the clinch but O Callahan prevents it.
Da drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

O Callahan has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Da clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Da tries to roll but O Callahan sticks to his back.

That's one minute gone in the round.
O Callahan biding his time, controlling Da.
Da trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Da is really stuck here.
O Callahan doesn't have the hooks in and Da manages to turn into his guard.
Da throwing strikes from guard but O Callahan blocks nicely.
O Callahan keeping moving, preventing Da from controlling successfully.
Da postures up in O Callahan's guard and throws a big left but O Callahan blocks it.

Da trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Da trying to control the position from guard on top but O Callahan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Da has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Da has gone for a leg lock! O Callahan slips out almost immediately though and dives into Da's guard.
Da looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Joseph T O Callahan wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Da shoots in for a takedown but O Callahan shows good takedown defense.
Joseph T O Callahan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Atilla Da.
O Callahan throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

and Da counters with a takedown into side control.
An elbow from Da crashes against the mat.
O Callahan managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Da.
Da throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and O Callahan works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

A close round but Atilla Da will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

so Da counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
O Callahan working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Da.
Da throwing strikes from guard but O Callahan blocks nicely.
O Callahan wants to stand but Da is controlling the position.
O Callahan has momentary wrist control but Da slips an elbow through the middle.
Da slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
O Callahan wants to stand up but Da is controlling him.

Da trying to control the position from guard on top but O Callahan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Da in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
O Callahan wants to stand but Da is controlling the position.
Da sitting in guard here, content to control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Atilla Da was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Da shoots for a double leg takedown but O Callahan sprawls well. He's pushed Da's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Some bone on bone action there as O Callahan checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Da misses with a leg kick
and O Callahan counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Da gets off balance looking for a body kick
and O Callahan counters with a nice body kick.
Da misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Da gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Da drops to a knee looking for a takedown but O Callahan gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Joseph T O Callahan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Atilla Da.
O Callahan pushes off an throws an elbow but Da leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Da prevents O Callahan from breaking the clinch.
O Callahan tries to land a knee to the head but Da blocks with his arms.
O Callahan lands a damaging elbow.
Da is looking for a takedown up against the cage. O Callahan gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
O Callahan lands an elbow inside.


It looks like Atilla Da has been cut.
O Callahan lands a nice elbow.

O Callahan manages to break the clinch.
Da checks a leg kick.
Atilla Da seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Da blocks a head kick by O Callahan.
Da throws a lazy head kick
and O Callahan counters with a flying knee. Nice.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

O Callahan tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Da smiles and moves away.

Da is trying to drag O Callahan to the mat but O Callahan just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Da changes levels and goes for a takedown here. O Callahan fights it off and pushes away nicely.
O Callahan throws a half hearted mid kick.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

and Da counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in O Callahan's guard now.
O Callahan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Da controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Da missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Da lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Da throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Da throwing shots but O Callahan is blocking nicely.

And that's the end of the fight!
Atilla Da comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Da has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
