Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Holmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Geraldo Rivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Holmes's entrance music is Everybody Knows My Name. A fine choice. Rivera is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Sucker Punch - Sweet Dreams. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Reed Andrews and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivera takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Holmes throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Rivera cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Holmes instigates a clinch.
Rivera tries a body shot but Holmes blocks it.
Still in the clinch, Holmes scores with a nice short uppercut.
Rivera blocking some punches.
Holmes misses with a hook from the clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Rivera.
Holmes wants to get back to striking at distance but Rivera won't allow it.
Holmes misses with some punches.
Holmes swings wildly with an uppercut but Rivera uses good head movement to avoid it.
Rivera lands a left hand that snaps the head of Holmes backwards.
Holmes throws a head punch that misses.
Rivera cracks Holmes with a nice body shot.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rivera scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Holmes tries to throw a body punch but Rivera avoids it by throwing Holmes back against the cage.

Rivera lands with a light punch inside.
Holmes is rocked!
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Rivera creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Oh Holmes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rivera lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Holmes to his knees! Rivera keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Geraldo Rivera!
