Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Serj Tankian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Grossman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grossman has chosen The Devil's Rejects as his entrance music. Tankian is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Karl Grossman acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Karl Grossman!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grossman fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Tankian.
Tankian is breathing heavily.
Grossman scores with a one two! Tankian had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
An inside leg kick lands from Grossman.
Grossman lands a nice hook to Tankian's body. Tankian takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Tankian takes a jab right on the kisser.

Grossman rushes Tankian and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Grossman pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Grossman lands with a nice body punch.
Grossman throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Tankian on the side of the head.
Grossman scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
A jab from Grossman finds it's way through Tankian's defenses.
Grossman buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Tankian has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Tankian there as he acknowledges the shot.
Grossman moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Serj Tankian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A lazy left from Grossman finds it's target.
Grossman connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
An inside leg kick lands from Grossman.
Grossman scores with a three punch combo!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Grossman clobbers Tankian with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Tankian closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Tankian is rocked!
Grossman scores with a punch to the head.
Oh Tankian is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tankian gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Grossman gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Tankian is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Karl Grossman!
