Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Cannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Milovan Rakic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 11 - 1, fighting out of London, Matthew Cannon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 7 - 1, fighting out of London, Milovan Rakic! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Donald Grub and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cannon misses with a lunging right hand
and Cannon takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Rakic misses with a lunging right hand
and Cannon counters with a lovely straight right hand! Rakic throws the kick towards the body but Cannon avoids it. Rakic misses with a shot to the body and Cannon counters with a nice body shot. Cannon misses with a hook
enabling Rakic to counter with a crisp jab. Rakic throws a combination that misses and Cannon counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Cannon keeps the fight on the outside. Cannon keeps the fight on the outside. Cannon lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rakic throws an off balance right hand
and Cannon counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Rakic throws a combination that misses enabling Cannon to counter with a crisp jab. Rakic connects with a crisp jab. Cannon throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rakic closes the distance and pushes Cannon back into the cage. A nice left hand lands by Cannon.
It looks like Milovan Rakic has been cut. A short right from Rakic on the inside. Cannon avoiding damage as Rakic throws knees to the body.
Rakic is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Cannon pulls him back up using the underhooks. Cannon stalling in the clinch.
Rakic misses with an elbow strike.
Rakic manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Rakic looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Cannon throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Rakic keeping moving, preventing Cannon from controlling successfully. Cannon is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Rakic working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Cannon. Rakic wants to control the position but Cannon says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Rakic tries to get to full guard but Cannon has control of the leg. Cannon is controlling the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cannon lands strikes from half guard. Rakic gets back to full guard.
Rakic is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Rakic looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Cannon has picked Rakic up and slammed him! Rakic can't keep hold of the triangle and Cannon manages to pass to side control! Rakic looks gassed! Rakic is looking for a sweep. Cannon wants to control but Rakic is keeping him busy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cannon scores with a couple of short elbows.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rakic manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Rakic wants to improve his position but Cannon is controlling well.
Cannon looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rakic with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Cannon looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Cannon prevents Rakic from improving his position. Cannon seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rakic does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Cannon is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Rakic is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Rakic is pressing down on Cannon's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Cannon wants to control from the top but Rakic keeps moving. Cannon pushes down on Rakic's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cannon not doing much here.
Rakic works his way to full guard. Good work. Cannon won't allow Rakic to sweep him here. Cannon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rakic on the ground. Cannon wants to control from the top but Rakic keeps moving. Rakic looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Cannon is defending well. Rakic quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Cannon has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Rakic celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
