Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brian Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirby Jay Navarro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Slither by Velvet Revolver . Brian Jones could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Kirby Jay Navarro's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kirby Jay Navarro! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones throws a hook but Navarro blocks it. A decent looking cross lands there for Jones. Navarro slips a straight right by Jones. Jones with a hook. A decent looking cross lands there for Jones. Navarro drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Navarro slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Navarro goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Jones rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Navarro's guard! Nice work there by Jones! Navarro kicks Jones off and gets to his feet. Navarro keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jones. Jones throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Navarro has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Navarro there as he acknowledges the shot. Navarro shoots in and bounces Jones off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Navarro drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Navarro jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Navarro drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Jones manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Navarro has Jones in his guard. Navarro managing to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Navarro should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Let's hope that Navarro has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Jones knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Navarro on the ground. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Navarro escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jones gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Navarro is pulling down on Jones's head. It's preventing any offense from Jones, at least for the moment.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kirby Jay Navarro. Navarro displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jones throws out the jab. Navarro on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Jones connects with the punch. Jones connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Navarro's hands. Navarro is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jones sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Navarro looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Jones! Navarro goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Jones is on top in guard.
Navarro is adopting a defensive guard. Jones wanted to stand there but Navarro had control of the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Navarro is adopting a defensive guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Brian Jones will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
A jab from Jones misses. Jones dips to his left and cracks Navarro with an uppercut! Jones is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Navarro fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Navarro shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jones but Jones pushes him off and we're back to square one. Jones misses with a looping right. Navarro looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Brian Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kirby Jay Navarro. Jones scores with a nice strike. Jones fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Jones connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Navarro momentarily.
Nice uppercut lands for Jones. That snapped Navarro's head back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Navarro shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jones defends it nicely. Jones rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Navarro counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Navarro is controlling him. Navarro drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jones looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jones looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jones! Navarro is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Jones is controlling him well. Jones tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Navarro can't do much from the bottom here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones wants to stand but Navarro has his arm trapped. You can see the frustration on Navarro's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Jones wants to stand but Navarro is controlling his arm.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Navarro is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Jones's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Navarro keeps control of the position for the meantime. Navarro is looking to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Navarro is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Kirby Jay Navarro has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Nice straight punches there by Jones. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Jones. Navarro ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Jones throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Jones scores with a body shot.
Jones displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Navarro. Jones connects with a good right hand that stumbles Navarro. Navarro circles away out of range and recomposes himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brian Jones dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Jones misses with a looping left. Navarro shoots in and drives through. Jones sprawls well. Navarro has a takedown stuffed. Navarro looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Jones is looking for a sweep. Navarro is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Navarro is working for a kimura but Jones is defending it quite comfortably.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Navarro postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jones is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Navarro, into his guard. Navarro trying to keep a closed guard but Jones is proving a slippery customer.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Jones trying to stand up but can't free himself from Navarro's guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that's the end of the fight! Kirby Jay Navarro comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Jones has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
