Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ricky Dale Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kim Possible! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Possible closes the distance and clinches. Possible prevents a takedown attempt there.
Johnson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Possible gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Possible lands with a right to the head. Johnson takes an elbow to the temple. Johnson stalling in the clinch but Possible improves position. Possible lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Possible has hold of one of Johnson's legs. Johnson is fighting the takedown attempt but Possible gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Possible thows a big elbow that misses. Johnson wants to sweep here but Possible controlling him for the moment. Possible trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Possible loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Johnson has his foot on Possible's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Possible works his way back into a safe position though. Possible trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Possible showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Johnson looking for a sweep. Not yet Johnson, not yet. Johnson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Johnson wants to sweep here but Possible controlling him for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Possible trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Johnson wants to sweep but no luck. Johnson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Possible trying to control from the bottom.
Well, if Johnson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Possible is trying to control but can't.
Johnson stalling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Johnson is keen to just control but Possible is a slippery customer.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Ricky Dale Johnson wasn't doing enough on the ground. Johnson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Possible lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A left and a right from Possible both land. Nice combination. Johnson fails with the takedown and Possible counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Johnson's guard now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ricky Dale Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Possible looks gassed! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Johnson trying to control the position.
Johnson wants to sweep here but Possible controlling him for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Johnson is on top in guard.
Possible looking for a sweep. Not yet Possible, not yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Johnson slips nicely into half guard. Johnson is working for a submission of some sort.
Possible is defending against the submission attempts here by Johnson.
Possible is not content to let Johnson control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson controlling the action here. Johnson trying to control from half guard but Possible is working away. Possible wants to get back to full guard but Johnson has mounted him! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Possible can do anything to dispel that myth. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Johnson jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Possible is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Possible and Johnson has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

A close round but Kim Possible will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Possible doesn't succeed with the takedown and Johnson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Possible won't be happy with that. Johnson wants to control but Possible is keeping him busy. Johnson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Johnson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The strikes coming from Johnson are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Johnson trying to control the action but Possible is working from the bottom. Johnson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Possible tries to bench press Johnson off him but Johnson keeps the position. Johnson is looking to take a break and control but Possible is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Possible is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Possible is trying to control Johnson's posture but Johnson avoids it. Johnson is looking to take a break and control but Possible is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Johnson has hold of Possible's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Possible seems comfortable defending it but Johnson has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Possible is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Possible is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Johnson couldn't care less - he's delighted!
