The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawk shoots and misses
letting Larichev counter with a right hand.
Hawk misses with a takedown attempt
and Larichev counters with a stiff right hand.
Hawk closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hawk lands in his opponent's guard.
Hawk slips nicely into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Larichev wants to control but Hawk is keeping busy.
Hawk tries to pass to full mount but Larichev defends it.
