Escobar kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Dr. Kitch. The crowd seem to be enjoying Irons's choice of entrance music: Get On Your Knees - Age Against the Machine. Pablo Escobar had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Escobar closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Irons actively working from the bottom here.
Irons keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Escobar takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Irons is looking to control Escobar's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Irons avoid being mounted?

Escobar is looking for a kimura but Irons is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Escobar to get the leverage.
Escobar winds up and cracks Irons with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Escobar wants to work for an arm triangle but Irons is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Irons is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Escobar pulls his head out easily.

and Escobar counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Irons is still in real trouble! Can Escobar finish him?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like Frank Irons has been cut.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Escobar cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Escobar has hold of Irons's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Irons manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
