Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Tatko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tatko is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by no Music. Danny Tatko is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Danny Tatko! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz instigates a clinch. Tatko looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Diaz lands a takedown into guard.
Diaz with a flurry of punches that miss. Diaz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tatko works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Diaz trying to control but Tatko is working from the bottom. Diaz drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Tatko dives on top into guard. Diaz throws his legs up looking for a submission but Tatko uses it to pass to side control.
Diaz is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Diaz is trying to control Tatko's posture but Tatko avoids it. Diaz is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Tatko asserts his dominance and retains side control. Tatko tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tatko stands up and beckons Diaz to his feet. Diaz instigates a clinch. Diaz lands an uppercut. Diaz pushes Tatko back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Tatko stops a takedown attempt from Diaz.

Tatko is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Diaz throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Diaz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tatko is trying to stand back up but Diaz is controlling him
Diaz tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Diaz is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Tatko trying to control from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz escapes and gets back to his feet. Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch but Tatko swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Diaz shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Diaz wants to clinch up but Tatko keeps it at a distance. Tatko shoots in but Diaz avoids the takedown attempt easily. Diaz misses with a takedown attempt - Tatko sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Tatko shoots for a takedown but Diaz saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Tatko takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. The fight stays on the outside here - Diaz looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Diaz tries to clinch but fails miserably and Tatko moves into the clinch. Diaz digs a right hand into Tatko's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Tatko's gas tank. Diaz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Diaz stalks Tatko and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Tatko's face. Tatko staggers backwards, shaken. Tatko throws a chopping leg kick but Diaz manages to avoid taking any serious damage. No luck for Diaz with that takedown attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diaz has his takedown stuffed and Tatko holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Tatko manages to pull guard.
Diaz has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Diaz thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Tatko working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Diaz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Diaz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Diaz looking to pass the guard. Diaz wants to stand but Tatko is controlling his posture from full guard. Diaz passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Diaz dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Tatko tries to sprawl but Diaz drives through with a takedown into half guard. Diaz is looking for a kimura but Tatko is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Diaz to get the leverage. Diaz is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Tatko has managed to free his arm - good work. Diaz is working for a submission of some sort.

Diaz wants to control but Tatko is keeping him busy. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Diaz lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Diaz not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Diaz is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Diaz pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tatko is keeping the position for now. Tatko throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Diaz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tatko swivels though and keeps the full guard. Diaz is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Tatko is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Tatko throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Diaz escapes and throws Tatko's legs to the side, diving into side control! Diaz working away. Diaz tries for a kimura but Tatko is defending well. Tatko tries to buck Diaz off but Diaz is having none of it. Diaz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tatko keeps working. Diaz decides to take the fight back to the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tatko tries to keep at a distance but Diaz has taken the fight into the clinch. Diaz has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Tatko avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Diaz gets a trip takedown into half guard. Diaz is working for a kimura but Tatko is defending it quite comfortably.

Diaz tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Tatko manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Diaz shoots in looking for a takedown but Tatko manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Diaz's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Diaz gets in close and instigates a clinch. Tatko manages to break the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Tatko tries to roll over but Diaz keeps him under control. Diaz scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Diaz is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tatko defends it well. Diaz is looking to take a break and control but Tatko is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Diaz thows a huge punch but Tatko dodges it nicely.
Jack Diaz overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Tatko wants to improve his position but Diaz is controlling well.

Diaz will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Diaz avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Diaz is trying to control the position but Tatko postures up. Tatko decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Tatko is looking to clinch. Diaz gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Tatko tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Diaz drops back looking for a leg! Tatko is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tatko manages to kick Diaz off! Diaz jumps back into Tatko's guard.

Diaz working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Diaz drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Tatko dives on top into guard. Diaz controls Tatko momentarily but Tatko frees himself. Tatko with a nice head shot there.
And that's the end of the fight! Jack Diaz showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Diaz, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
