The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendrix takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Burr shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hendrix is trying to defend but Burr finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Hendrix kicks Burr off and gets back to his feet.
Burr throws an overhand right that lands on Hendrix's shoulder, as Hendrix tries to avoid the shot.

Nice combo by Burr! Oh, that's hurt him - Hendrix falls to the canvas and Burr follows him into side control.

Hendrix is rocked!

It looks like Jason Hendrix has been cut.
Hendrix is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Hendrix is still in real trouble! Can Burr finish him?
Hendrix regains half guard there - taking advantage of Burr's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Hendrix has one foot on Burr's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Burr gets the takedown into side control.
Hendrix avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Burr.
Hendrix seems to have recovered his senses.

Burr thows a body shot but no joy.

Burr tries to bum rush Hendrix with a series of wild strikes but Hendrix uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Burr lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hendrix circles away quickly and effectively.
Burr is breathing heavily.

Burr wants to clinch but Hendrix slips to the side

and Hendrix counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Burr!
