Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jay Bush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Olaf Saurkraut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saurkraut has chosen Poland National Anthem as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jay Bush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Olaf Saurkraut!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some bone on bone action there as Saurkraut checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Bush looks to land a left hand but Saurkraut moved out of range nicely.

Saurkraut shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Saurkraut was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Saurkraut controlling the pace for now.
Let's hope that Saurkraut has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Bush squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Saurkraut throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Saurkraut controlling the position easily from mount.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

It looks like Saurkraut might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Bush throws a combination that misses

so Saurkraut counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Bush wants to stand up but Saurkraut is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Olaf Saurkraut hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Saurkraut goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Saurkraut slips a jab and a cross from Bush.
Bush scores with a nice strike.
Bush throws a poor cross that misses

and Saurkraut counters with a takedown into side control.
Bush is not content to let Saurkraut control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Saurkraut tries to advance to mount but can't.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Bush pushes Saurkraut away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Saurkraut gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bush tries to sprawl but Saurkraut drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Bush pushes Saurkraut off looking to stand but Saurkraut dives back in and keeps control.

Saurkraut postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Bush to stand up.
Jay Bush is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Saurkraut shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bush manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Saurkraut slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Bush will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Saurkraut passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Saurkraut is looking to take a break and control but Bush is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bush seems a little lost for a moment, as Saurkraut dominates the positioning.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Olaf Saurkraut.
Bush looks to score with a jab to the body but Saurkraut is just out of range.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Bush throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Saurkraut throws a quick inside leg kick.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Saurkraut.
Bush will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Saurkraut.
Saurkraut happy to just control the position for now.
Saurkraut's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Olaf Saurkraut showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Bush throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Saurkraut.

That kick from Saurkraut tenderised Bush's leg. Bush is trying to keep his angry face on.
Jay Bush seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Saurkraut scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Saurkraut lands a nice looking kick to the body. Bush takes a step back to recover.
Bush cracks Saurkraut with an open hand slap.
Saurkraut scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Saurkraut closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Saurkraut tries to pass to full mount but Bush defends it.

Saurkraut looks to land a strike but Bush avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Saurkraut not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Well Saurkraut has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
