The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Zangief counters with a nice right hand that sends Jones toppling to the canvas! Jones scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Zangief finish him?!

Zangief lands a big right hand that sends Jones crashing to the mat! Zangief stays standing though and waves Jones back to his feet!

and Zangief counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Jones seems to have recovered his senses.
Ivan Zangief has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Jones.
Jones looks gassed!
BOOM! Zangief lands a beautiful left hook that drops Jones. Jones tries to recover but Zangief is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Jones lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ivan Zangief!
