Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Emile Graton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andreas Schmidt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Emile Graton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andreas Schmidt! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick by Graton misses and Schmidt counters with a takedown into side control. Graton is looking for a sweep. Graton is working hard here to advance position. Schmidt tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Graton manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Graton is looking to improve his position.
Schmidt seems to be looking for submissions.
Graton tries to get to full guard but Schmidt has control of the leg. Graton regains full guard. Nicely done. Graton is trying to keep Schmidt in close.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Schmidt drops back looking for a leg! Graton is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Graton manages to kick Schmidt off! Schmidt jumps back into Graton's guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Graton is looking for a triangle here but Schmidt uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Graton had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Schmidt defends it easily. Schmidt drops back looking for a leg! Graton is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Graton manages to kick Schmidt off! Schmidt jumps back into Graton's guard. Graton throws his legs up looking for a submission but Schmidt uses it to pass to side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. You can see the frustration on Graton's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Graton is looking for a sweep. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andreas Schmidt dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Graton throws a lazy head kick and Schmidt counters with a single leg into guard. Graton didn't expect that. Schmidt is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Graton has momentary wrist control but Schmidt slips an elbow through the middle. Schmidt won't allow Graton to get back to his feet. Schmidt drops back looking for a leg! Graton is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Graton manages to kick Schmidt off! Schmidt jumps back into Graton's guard. Graton wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Schmidt is now in half guard. Graton is looking for a sweep. Schmidt is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schmidt moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Graton. Graton can't do much from the bottom here. Graton is trying to improve his position. Schmidt working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Graton tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Schmidt wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Graton can't do much from the bottom here. Graton manages to work his way to half guard, despite Schmidt's best efforts. Graton looking for a kimura from the bottom but Schmidt passes into side control! Graton is looking for a sweep.

Graton is looking for a sweep. Schmidt is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Graton looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Graton slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Andreas Schmidt showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

It looks like Andreas Schmidt has been cut. Graton throws a head kick that misses and Schmidt counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Schmidt. Graton manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Graton goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Schmidt turns into him and now he's in Graton's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Graton escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Schmidt gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Graton can't keep his opponent in guard - Schmidt advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Graton looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Graton has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Schmidt is working away from the top position though. Emile Graton has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Graton is looking for a sweep. Schmidt is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Graton moves into full guard.

Graton has his foot on Schmidt's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Schmidt works his way back into a safe position though. Graton tries to land a sweep but no joy. Andreas Schmidt is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
