The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sequeira fails with the takedown
and Gordon counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

enabling Gordon to counter with a crisp jab.
Sequeira doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Gordon counters with a straight right hand.
John Gordon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Sequeira.
Gordon throws a leg kick but Sequeira sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Sequeira lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Gordon down.
Sequeira has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Gordon is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Sequeira yanks on the arm and Gordon is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Sequeira.
