Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Royce Cherubin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BJ Walters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Royce Cherubin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, BJ Walters! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Steve Erwin and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walters with a lazy takedown attempt and Cherubin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Cherubin takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Walters is looking to clinch but Cherubin is avoiding it.
Walters shoots and misses and Cherubin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Walters shoots in and bounces Cherubin off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Cherubin trying to keep a closed guard but Walters is proving a slippery customer.
Walters throwing strikes but missing. Walters preventing the sweep. Cherubin being controlled here, momentarily. Cherubin looking for a guillotine here but Walters defends easily.
Cherubin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cherubin is pressing down on Walters's thigh, looking to free his foot. Walters is holding on for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Walters is trying to stand up here but Cherubin is controlling him well. Cherubin thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Cherubin wants to work for an arm triangle but Walters is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Cherubin looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Walters is trying to stand.
Cherubin passes to side control. Walters regains half guard there - taking advantage of Cherubin's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Walters trying to hold on to Cherubin's head to control him but Cherubin postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walters has one foot on Cherubin's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Walters shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Walters slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Walters's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Cherubin throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Cherubin is breathing heavily. Walters trying to control the position from guard on top but Cherubin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Walters content to stall in guard here.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. BJ Walters wasn't active enough on the ground. Cherubin has his takedown stuffed and Walters counters with a nice double leg into guard. Walters trying to control the position from guard on top but Cherubin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Cherubin looking for a sweep. Not yet Cherubin, not yet. Walters prevents Cherubin from getting back to his feet. Walters controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Walters cracks Cherubin with a solid left hand. Walters is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
OK we're going to have a standup here. BJ Walters hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Walters looks for a takedown but Cherubin sprawls well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
BJ Walters dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Walters closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Cherubin regains full guard. Nicely done. Walters lands a couple of elbows. Walters wants to control from the top but Cherubin keeps moving. Walters controlling from the top position. Cherubin keeping moving, preventing Walters from controlling successfully. Cherubin trying to control the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cherubin looking to hit a scissor sweep but Walters is one step ahead there.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Cherubin can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Walters controls the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up. BJ Walters was stalling too much, according to the referee. Walters fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cherubin avoids it really well and circles away. An inside leg kick lands from Walters. Walters gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Cherubin counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Walters's guard now. Walters keeping moving, preventing Cherubin from controlling successfully. Cherubin trying to move into half guard but instead Walters has managed to sweep!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cherubin can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Walters controls the pace. Walters trying to control the position from guard on top but Cherubin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Walters is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Let's hope that Walters has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
OK we're going to have a standup here. BJ Walters hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Walters tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Cherubin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Cherubin fails with the takedown and Walters moves into the clinch. Cherubin is fighting off a takedown attempt but Walters is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Cherubin to the mat. Cherubin regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Cherubin looking for a sweep. Not yet Cherubin, not yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walters controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Walters thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Walters must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Walters seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Cherubin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Walters is stalling in the full guard. Cherubin controls Walters momentarily but Walters frees himself. Walters scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Walters looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Excellent takedown into side control there by Walters. Cherubin is trying to control Walters's posture but Walters avoids it. Cherubin tries to bench press Walters off him but Walters keeps the position. A lull in the action here as Walters stalls from top position. Walters lands a decent elbow from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
BJ Walters showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Walters looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Walters tries to pass to full mount but Cherubin defends it. Cherubin gets full guard. Cherubin working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Walters. Walters working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Cherubin wants to sweep here but Walters controlling him for the moment. Cherubin manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Walters is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walters is looking to get to half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Cherubin can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Walters is looking to escape. Cherubin thowing shots but they're missing. Walters regains half guard. Walters is trying to control but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Cherubin is trying to control. Walters wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Cherubin is looking to advance position but Walters won't allow it. Walters works his way to full guard. Good work. Cherubin looking to sit in guard and control but Walters gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Walters sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. BJ Walters has got the better of the ground game so far. Walters postures up.
Royce Cherubin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! BJ Walters is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Walters darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Walters passes to side control. You can see the frustration on Cherubin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cherubin tries to get back to half guard but can't. Cherubin trying to remain calm as Walters controls from the top position. Cherubin tries to bench press Walters off him but Walters keeps the position. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Walters controls the position.
BJ Walters has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Walters shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Walters showed some decent athleticism there.
And that's the end of the fight! BJ Walters comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Walters winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
