Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Brian Peppers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sir Didymus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Didymus has chosen Welcome to the TerrorDome as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brian Peppers!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sir Didymus!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Emerson Jorge and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peppers tries to close the distance and clinch but Didymus swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Peppers moves to clinch but Didymus breaks away
enabling Didymus to counter with a crisp jab.
Didymus throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Peppers counters with a three punch combo that has Didymus backing up. Didymus nods at Peppers to acknowledge the strikes.
Peppers just misses with a punch to the body.
Didymus pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Peppers tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Peppers jabs Didymus right on the nose. Didymus blinks but takes it well.

Didymus throws an overhand right that lands on Peppers's shoulder, as Peppers tries to avoid the shot.

Didymus closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Peppers did well to prevent Didymus getting side control.
Didymus wants to lay and pray for a moment but Peppers keeps working.

Didymus stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Peppers swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Peppers is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Peppers has his foot on Didymus's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Didymus works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Didymus closes the distance and clinches up with Peppers, looking for a takedown. Didymus pushes Peppers against the cage but Peppers circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Peppers counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

Didymus throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Didymus shoots in and drives through. Peppers sprawls well.
Peppers uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Didymus.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Peppers tries to clinch but Didymus is having none of it.

Didymus feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Didymus might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Peppers kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Brian Peppers.
I think Peppers has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
