Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Derrick Rankinstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Melvis Maximus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Dmitry Maklakov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rankinstein rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Maximus counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Rankinstein throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Rankinstein takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Rankinstein misses with a double jab
letting Maximus counter with a right hand.
Maximus avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Maximus 's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Rankinstein connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Maximus scrambles back to his feet.
Maximus takes a swing at Rankinstein's ribcage but misses.
Maximus slips under a jab.
Maximus avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Maximus delivers a nice body kick.
Rankinstein ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Maximus moves away.
Rankinstein scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Maximus doesn't seem bothered though.
Maximus fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rankinstein manages to avoid it.
Rankinstein avoids the head kick by Maximus .
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rankinstein throws a series of punches but Maximus moves out of range.
Rankinstein misses with a straight right.
A left lands for Rankinstein.
The fighters circling - Maximus throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Rankinstein takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Rankinstein lands a jab to the nose.
Rankinstein ducks right into an uppercut from Maximus .
Rankinstein misses with a hook to the body
and Maximus counters with a head kick.
Rankinstein swings widly with a right hand
and Maximus connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Rankinstein misses with a body punch
and Maximus counters with a flying knee that drops Rankinstein! Maximus dives in and finishes the fight with a flurry of strikes from the mount!
