Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wayne Gilbert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Che Guevara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wayne Gilbert! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Che Guevara! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gilbert takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Guevara moves into the clinch. Guevara wants to break the clinch but can't.
Gilbert has hold of one of Guevara's legs. Guevara is fighting the takedown attempt but Gilbert gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Guevara lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Gilbert! Guevara throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Guevara working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Guevara is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gilbert can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's one minute gone in the round. Guevara goes for an armbar but Gilbert turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Gilbert. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Guevara trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Gilbert sitting in guard here, content to control. Guevara is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gilbert defends well. Gilbert is stalling in the full guard. Gilbert thows a big elbow that misses. Guevara is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Guevara throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Gilbert knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Guevara on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gilbert is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Guevara throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Gilbert is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
We're going to have a standup here because Wayne Gilbert wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Guevara closes the distance and clinches. Guevara throws a head punch that misses. Gilbert has picked Guevara up - he's going for a ride! Gilbert dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Gilbert prevents Guevara from improving his position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Gilbert thows a huge punch but Guevara dodges it nicely.
Gilbert throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Gilbert slows the pace down in half guard. Guevara has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Guevara tries to roll over but Gilbert keeps him under control. Guevara should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Guevara tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Gilbert prevents Guevara from improving his position. Gilbert performing his best blanket impression for a moment. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Guevara is looking to improve his position.

Wayne Gilbert has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Gilbert forces Guevara back against the cage and clinches. Guevara misses with some punches.

Guevara pushes off an throws an elbow but Gilbert leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Gilbert blocks an uppercut.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Guevara swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Guevara jumps guard but Gilbert stands there with Guevara around his waist. Guevara gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Guevara is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. A head punch blocked on the inside by Gilbert. Guevara fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Gilbert turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Gilbert manages to end up in side control. Gilbert blocks the strikes from Guevara.
Guevara is looking to reverse the position. Guevara on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Gilbert tries for a kimura but Guevara is defending well. Guevara seems a little lost for a moment, as Gilbert dominates the positioning. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wayne Gilbert dominated that round. That's time! Gilbert's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Gilbert drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Guevara misses with a strike from the bottom. You can see the frustration on Guevara's face as Gilbert controls the position. Guevara manages to get back to half guard. Gilbert seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Guevara punching from the bottom.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Guevara tries to get to full guard but Gilbert has control of the leg. Guevara trying to control but Gilbert postures up.
Guevara is looking to improve his position.
Gilbert takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Wayne Gilbert wasn't doing enough on the ground. Gilbert closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Guevara quickly recovers to half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guevara tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Guevara makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Guevara. Guevara throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Gilbert is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Guevara lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Gilbert! Guevara is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Gilbert to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Gilbert shrugs it off. Guevara has hold of Gilbert's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Gilbert manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Guevara swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Che Guevara!
