The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Emelianenko wants to clinch.
Emelianenko dives in and grabs Soprano's left leg, looking for a takedown. Soprano pushes down on Emelianenko's head and hops out.
Emelianenko shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Soprano sprawls well. Soprano wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Emelianenko gets slowly back to his feet.
Emelianenko doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Soprano counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Emelianenko thinking.
Toni Soprano has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fyodor Emelianenko.
Emelianenko tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Soprano manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Emelianenko avoids a punch combination nicely.
Emelianenko misses with an uppercut
and Soprano connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Soprano rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Emelianenko moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Soprano cracks Emelianenko with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Soprano lands with a right that hurts Emelianenko. Emelianenko looks to clinch but Soprano throws a short knee that drops Emelianenko. This one is all over!
