Silva comes to the cage accompanied by Axel Foley theme with a cool video of the Space Chimps!!. Aranha Silva has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 46 - 0, fighting out of New York, Simon Standa!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Standa has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Standa stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Silva.
Standa looks gassed!
A chopping leg kick lands by Silva.
Good leg kick by Silva there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Silva dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Standa. That did some damage!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Silva lands a big head kick that sends Standa tumbling to the mat! Silva takes a step backwards and waves Standa back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Standa is rocked!

It looks like Simon Standa has been cut.
Silva throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Standa crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
