The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbosa fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hawke sprawls well initially but Barbosa persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Hawke wants to get back to full guard.
Barbosa is trying to work for a kimura but Hawke is defending well.
Barbosa thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Barbosa is looking for a kimura but Hawke is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Barbosa to get the leverage.
Barbosa not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Barbosa prevents Hawke from standing back up.

and Hawke counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Barbosa is looking to sinch up a triangle. Hawke throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Barbosa's body to avoid the submission. Barbosa has instead reached around Hawke's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Barbosa arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
