Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Karl Britz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Petri Nieminen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nieminen has chosen Born an OG as his entrance music. Britz is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. The key to victory for Karl Britz has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Karl Britz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Petri Nieminen! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Britz swings for the body but Nieminen moves out of range.
Britz is breathing heavily. Nieminen misses with the combination.
Nieminen shoots for a takedown but Britz saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Horrible takedown by Nieminen or perhaps it was just good defense by Britz which made him look bad. Nieminen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Karl Britz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Petri Nieminen. Britz misses with a body shot.
Nieminen is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Karl Britz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nieminen connects with a body shot. Britz keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Nieminen gets the takedown into side control. Nieminen lands a few punches from side control. Britz tries to get back to half guard but can't. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sloppy strikes there by Nieminen. Nieminen working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Britz could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nieminen has knee on belly and moves into mount. Nieminen gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Britz slips under a jab. Britz throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
letting Nieminen counter with a right hand. Britz shoots in for a double leg but Nieminen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Nieminen takes a swing at Britz's ribcage but misses. Britz cracks Nieminen with a good jab. Nieminen misses with a hook
and Britz connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. A big right from Nieminen misses. Nieminen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Britz. Nieminen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nieminen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Good shot there by Nieminen.
Britz is rocked! Nieminen shoots in for a takedown. He's got it... He's hoisted his opponent over his head and is carrying him over to the other end of the mat. The crowd roars in approval and Nieminen slams his opponent to the mat. OH, that is naaaaaasty! He's out! Nieminen lands a punch to his unconscious victim for good measure before the ref has time to call the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Slam). Petri Nieminen!
