Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alpa Chino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alek Mitchell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chino comes to the cage accompanied by Back on the Scene. The key to victory for Alpa Chino has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mitchell throws an off balance right hand
and Chino counters with a nice body shot.
Mitchell throws a sloppy body shot
and Chino counters with a body kick that stops Mitchell in his tracks momentarily.
Alek Mitchell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mitchell uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Chino.
Chino rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mitchell moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Chino misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Mitchell counters with a takedown into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Chino is trying to control Mitchell's posture but Mitchell avoids it.
Mitchell wants to control but Chino is keeping him busy.
Chino is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Mitchell asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

and Mitchell counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Mitchell is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mitchell looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Mitchell stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Chino swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Chino throws a nice looking combination but Mitchell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Chino dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Mitchell avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
The fighters circle momentarily. Chino darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Chino is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Mitchell jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Chino walks away with a smile on his face. Mitchell gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Chino tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Mitchell manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Mitchell swats away the attempt to clinch by Chino.

and Chino counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Chino tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mitchell swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Chino counters with a left and a right that stings Mitchell.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Chino throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Mitchell is trying to force a seperation but Chino has the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Chino looks to clinch

and Mitchell counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Chino!

Mitchell moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Chino has worked his arm free - good work by Chino!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Chino is looking to regain half guard here but Mitchell keeps moving and retains side control.

Mitchell swings around for an armbar but Chino sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Mitchell's guard.

Chino has gone for a leg lock! Mitchell slips out almost immediately though and dives into Chino's guard.
