Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gaius Tria (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ellison Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kim is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Know Your Enemy. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ellison Kim!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Jorge Garcia and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tria thows a body shot but no joy.
Tria misses with a wild body shot.
Tria misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kim on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Tria. Tria obviously looking to wear him down.
Tria scoring well with a low kick there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kim keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Kim fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Tria takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Tria seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kim for as long as he can get away with.

Tria shoots in and bounces Kim off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Tria stays in close to Kim's body and controls the position.

Kim looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Tria puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Tria is looking to take a break and control but Kim is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kim tries to kick Tria off but Tria keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Tria looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Tria wants to take a breather but Kim is having none of it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

We're going to have a standup here because Gaius Tria wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Tria tries a head kick but it misses.
Tria looks to land a body kick but Kim moved away.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Kim moves out of range of the leg kick from Tria.
Kim slips under a jab from Tria.
Kim throws a series of punches but Tria moves out of range.

Kim leaves Tria with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kim looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kim is breathing heavily.
Kim stuffs the takedown.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Tria tries to clinch up.
A low kick from Tria misses
and Kim counters with a body kick.
Gaius Tria is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Tria is looking to score with low kicks.
Kim moves out of range as Tria throws a body kick.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
A head kick misses from Tria.
Kim blocks a head kick by Tria.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gaius Tria dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Kim has his takedown stuffed

and Tria moves into the clinch.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Tria for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.
Tria tries to pull guard but Kim holds him up against the cage and eventually Tria drops back down to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Tria tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Gaius Tria is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tria, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
