Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Boyka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe CocoMo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe CocoMo will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yuri Boyka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe CocoMo! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Bruno Lombardi and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! CocoMo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Boyka. Boyka shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in CocoMo's guard. Boyka seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Boyka stops CocoMo from standing up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boyka passes into half guard. CocoMo wants to get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boyka has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Boyka content just to control the position here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boyka can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as CocoMo is looking to escape. Boyka jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… CocoMo is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by CocoMo and Boyka has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Boyka controlling the position. Boyka has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. CocoMo wants to clinch up but Boyka keeps it at a distance. Boyka forces CocoMo back against the cage and clinches. CocoMo tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Boyka can't break the clinch.
CocoMo looks to throw an elbow but misses. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Boyka wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Both guys are working to get underhooks. CocoMo working aggressively here.
CocoMo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Boyka moves into the clinch. Boyka gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from CocoMo.
CocoMo jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Boyka walks away with a smile on his face. CocoMo gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boyka throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. CocoMo tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Boyka is in CocoMo's guard. Boyka slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Boyka gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. CocoMo doesn't succeed with the takedown and Boyka counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in CocoMo's guard now. Yuri Boyka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe CocoMo. CocoMo looks gassed! Boyka drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Boyka jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Boyka looking to pass the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boyka keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of CocoMo's head. Boyka wants to control from the top but CocoMo keeps moving. CocoMo wants to stand and escape but Boyka is having none of it. CocoMo can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Boyka controls the pace. Boyka pushes down on CocoMo's leg and manages to get into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yuri Boyka dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
CocoMo slaps away a takedown attempt from Boyka, before circling back to the center of the mat. Boyka shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. CocoMo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Boyka stands up from guard. Let's bang! Boyka keeps the fight on the outside. CocoMo fails with the takedown and Boyka counters by clinching up. CocoMo prevents a takedown attempt there.
CocoMo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. CocoMo is breathing heavily. Boyka throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around CocoMo's waist but CocoMo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Boyka off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yuri Boyka. That's going to take a lot out of him. CocoMo misses with a takedown attempt so Boyka counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boyka stands up from CocoMo's guard - Boyka perhaps looking for a knockout. Boyka closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. CocoMo did well to prevent Boyka getting side control. Boyka works his way into full mount! Boyka controlling his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Boyka pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Boyka misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Boyka closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. CocoMo did well to prevent Boyka getting side control. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Boyka in particular looking to stall. CocoMo is trying to stand up here but Boyka is controlling him well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. CocoMo tries to roll over but Boyka keeps him under control. Boyka is sneakily working for an arm triangle but CocoMo sees it coming and defends easily. Boyka content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Boyka throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Boyka with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Boyka passes the guard and advances to mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yuri Boyka dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Boyka rushes CocoMo and presses him up against the cage. CocoMo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Boyka scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Boyka is trying to get an arm triangle but CocoMo is defending well. Boyka controlling the position. CocoMo prevents Boyka from moving into mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. CocoMo is trying to control Boyka's posture but Boyka avoids it. CocoMo takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Boyka stands up and we're back to a striking position. Boyka closes the distance and pushes CocoMo back into the cage. CocoMo wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. CocoMo tries to land a knee to the head but Boyka blocks with his arms.
CocoMo tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Boyka avoids it. Boyka can't get the takedown.
CocoMo has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Boyka avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. CocoMo breaks from the clinch.
Boyka looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for CocoMo! Yuri Boyka overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Boyka is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. CocoMo can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boyka is going oldschool here, as he tries to force CocoMo to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so CocoMo shrugs it off. Boyka lands with some vicious ground and pound - can CocoMo hang on? Boyka avoids the attempt from CocoMo to control. Boyka is landing with some decent strikes but CocoMo is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Boyka content just to control the position here. Boyka dominating with strikes here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boyka controlling the pace for now. Boyka has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! CocoMo is forced to tap!
