Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lester de Jesus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lester de Jesus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyler Reed! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! de Jesus tries a head kick but it misses.
de Jesus shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Reed but Reed pushes him off and we're back to square one. Reed throws a head kick that misses and de Jesus makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Reed really felt that one! de Jesus tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. de Jesus tries to clinch there but Reed circles away.
de Jesus shoots in for a takedown but Reed shows good takedown defense. de Jesus fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lester de Jesus. That's going to take a lot out of him. de Jesus misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Reed throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and de Jesus counters with a nice uppercut. de Jesus doesn't manage to clinch there - Reed circles away.
Reed closes the distance and clinches. de Jesus wants the takedown. Reed is fighting it off but de Jesus persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Reed's guard against the cage. Reed keeping busy, throwing shots from the bottom. de Jesus knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Reed on the ground. Reed wants to stand up but de Jesus is controlling him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Reed scrambles and gets back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round. Reed on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
de Jesus wants to clinch but Reed slips to the side and Reed counters with a single leg into guard. de Jesus didn't expect that. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. de Jesus is breathing heavily. de Jesus is working an open guard so Reed takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. de Jesus with a lazy takedown attempt and Reed counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for de Jesus! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Reed looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Reed stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. de Jesus looks to clinch and Reed counters into the clinch. Nicely done. de Jesus wants to get back to striking at distance but Reed won't allow it.
Reed has had enough of the clinch but de Jesus keeps him there for the moment. Reed tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. de Jesus smiles and moves away.
de Jesus fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Nice takedown defense from Reed. No joy for de Jesus on that attempt. de Jesus shoots in but no luck this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reed wants to clinch up but de Jesus keeps it at a distance. Reed throws a hook to the side of de Jesus's head but de Jesus sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. de Jesus has his takedown stuffed and Reed counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. de Jesus is lucky that one didn't land flush. de Jesus shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. A right-left combo lands from de Jesus. de Jesus drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. de Jesus is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Reed has escaped the position, nice work there. Reed regains half guard. Reed slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Reed bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in de Jesus's guard. Reed stands up from de Jesus's guard - Reed perhaps looking for a knockout. Reed clinches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reed breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Reed misses with a low kick. Reed clinches up with de Jesus and pushes him back against the cage. Reed has de Jesus pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Reed pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending de Jesus tumbling to the mat - Reed dives into de Jesus's guard. de Jesus might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Reed lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. de Jesus is working an open guard so Reed takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. de Jesus fails with the takedown. Reed shoots in and bounces de Jesus off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. de Jesus trying to keep a closed guard but Reed is proving a slippery customer.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Reed wants to stand but de Jesus has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Reed postures up.
de Jesus keeping full guard, as Reed tries to pass. de Jesus is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. de Jesus looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. de Jesus misses with a takedown and Reed counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Reed. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Reed prevents de Jesus from getting back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tyler Reed dominated that round. That's time! de Jesus's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Reed throws a sloppy head kick and de Jesus counters with a head kick. Lester de Jesus is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Reed has his takedown stuffed and de Jesus counters with a head kick. That will keep Reed thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! de Jesus misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nice takedown defense from Reed. No joy for de Jesus on that attempt. de Jesus looks to land a combination. Reed sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Reed scores with a kick to the midsection. de Jesus scores with a three punch combo!
de Jesus tries to close the distance and clinch but Reed swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. A head kick misses from Reed. Reed closes the distance and clinches up with de Jesus, looking for a takedown. Reed pushes de Jesus against the cage but de Jesus circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. de Jesus connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Reed swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and de Jesus counters with a one-two to the body. Tyler Reed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Reed closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Reed lands in his opponent's guard. de Jesus has momentary wrist control but Reed slips an elbow through the middle. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Reed content to stall in guard here.

Reed is tying to control. de Jesus wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. de Jesus is looking for a sweep. Reed is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Reed stands up and beckons de Jesus to join him on the feet. de Jesus closes the distance but Reed moves to the side and Reed counters with a takedown into side control. Reed is breathing heavily. de Jesus tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Tyler Reed has got the better of the ground game so far. Reed is standing up, even though he is in mount. Reed shoots in looking for a takedown. de Jesus tries to sprawl out of it but Reed keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. de Jesus manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Lester de Jesus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyler Reed.

Reed wants to stand but de Jesus has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Reed content to stall in guard here. Reed makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Reed gets to his feet - de Jesus follows without any prompting. de Jesus closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Reed is trying to control de Jesus's posture but de Jesus avoids it. Reed is not content to let de Jesus control the position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Reed works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Reed stands up from de Jesus's guard - Reed perhaps looking for a knockout. de Jesus lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tyler Reed showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Reed is landing with some decent strikes but de Jesus is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Reed gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! de Jesus fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Reed sprawls well initially but de Jesus persists and gets the takedown into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Reed landing small, sideways elbows.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reed has one foot on de Jesus's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Reed throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Reed stands up and beckons de Jesus to his feet. de Jesus tries to clinch but fails miserably and Reed counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! de Jesus wants to stand but Reed is controlling the position. Reed gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Lester de Jesus has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Reed throws a sloppy head kick and de Jesus counters with a nice double leg into side control. Reed won't be happy with that.
