Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Baltazar Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kim Jong Il (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jong Il has chosen Lights by Interpol as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Baltazar Ramos! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kim Jong Il! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jong Il throws a hook but Ramos avoids it easily. Jong Il with a poor takedown and Ramos counters with a left and a right that stings Jong Il. Jong Il swings and misses with a hook to the body.

enabling Jong Il to counter with a crisp jab. Jong Il throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Ramos counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Jong Il thows a body shot but no joy. Jong Il scores with a body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jong Il checks a leg kick. Ramos shoots in for a takedown but Jong Il shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Ramos rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Jong Il counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Ramos is looking for a sweep. Jong Il is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Jong Il works his foot free and advances to mount. Jong Il with a couple of short strikes. Ramos is looking to get to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jong Il lands a big shot there that rocks Ramos but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Jong Il content just to control the position here. Ramos might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Ramos is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Ramos is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Jong Il tries to control but Ramos wriggling away. Jong Il avoids the attempt from Ramos to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ramos is squirming around, avoiding Jong Il's attempts to control the action. Ramos takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. BOOM! Jong Il connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Jong Il pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ramos sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jong Il thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ramos's head. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jong Il is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kim Jong Il dominated that round. That's time! Ramos's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Ramos throws a poor cross that misses
and Jong Il counters with a nice double leg into guard. Ramos is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Jong Il is refusing to be controlled, as Ramos sits in half guard. Ramos passes to side control. Ramos tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Ramos wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jong Il, who protects the arm well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ramos looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Ramos is trying to ground and pound but Jong Il uses the momentary lack of control by Ramos to regain half guard. Jong Il tries to roll over but Ramos keeps him under control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Jong Il regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Ramos. Jong Il trying to control the position here. Ramos looking to pass the guard. Ramos trying to control the position from guard on top but Jong Il is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kim Jong Il has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ramos's corner is telling him to maintain position. Jong Il wants to sweep but no luck. Ramos controls from within his opponent's guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Baltazar Ramos wasn't doing enough on the ground. Ramos fails to land the takedown. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Jong Il swings away with a body shot that misses
and Ramos counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jong Il! Jong Il keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Jong Il wants to control but Ramos is having none of it. Ramos swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Jong Il is now in Ramos's guard. A big mistake from Ramos there, giving up the dominant position! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Baltazar Ramos will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

Jong Il showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Jong Il trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jong Il throwing strikes but missing. Jong Il passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Jong Il working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Jong Il moves nicely into side control. Ramos takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jong Il throwing strikes from guard but Ramos blocks nicely. Jong Il trying to control the position from guard on top but Ramos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ramos is on top in guard.
Jong Il controlling the position. Ramos trying to control but Jong Il is working from the bottom. Ramos slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Jong Il is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Ramos throws and elbow that misses. Jong Il uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ramos's guard. Nice move by Jong Il! Jong Il wants to control from the top but Ramos keeps moving. Jong Il might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Ramos kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Jong Il works over Ramos with some ground and pound from guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Jong Il makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Ramos missing with a left hand there. Jong Il was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Jong Il misses with a left hand and Ramos counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Ramos misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jong Il.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jong Il drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Jong Il fails with the takedown and Ramos counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Jong Il thinking.

and Jong Il counters with a single leg into guard. Ramos didn't expect that. Jong Il pushes down on Ramos's leg and manages to get into half guard. Ramos holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Jong Il thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ramos's head. Ramos taking some punishment here, with Jong Il in his half guard. Jong Il trying to control the action but Ramos is working from the bottom. Jong Il wants to stand up but Ramos has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Jong Il is taking a breather. Ramos says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Ramos won't allow Jong Il to pass to mount. Jong Il scores with a couple of good hammerfists. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jong Il lands strikes from half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jong Il sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ramos defending well though. Jong Il is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Ramos trying to hold on to Jong Il's head to control him but Jong Il postures up.

The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ramos with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Jong Il perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ramos desperately trying to maintain half guard. Jong Il throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Jong Il is stalling here. Ramos is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Jong Il seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Ramos has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Ramos misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Ramos laying and praying for a moment but Jong Il takes advantage and regains half guard. Ramos trying to control from half guard but Jong Il is working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kim Jong Il dominated that fourth round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Jong Il is not content to let Ramos control the position. Jong Il dodges the ground and pound from Ramos. Baltazar Ramos has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ramos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jong Il keeps working. Ramos misses with the ground and pound. Jong Il gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Jong Il is working to get back to half guard.
Jong Il wants to control but Ramos is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jong Il tries to reverse the position but Ramos maintains control. Ramos throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Jong Il is trying desperately to improve position. Ramos goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Jong Il is on top in guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Ramos keeping moving, preventing Jong Il from controlling successfully. Jong Il stands up over Ramos, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Ramos bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jong Il's guard. Jong Il tries to land a sweep but no joy. Ramos throwing strikes but missing. Ramos throws and elbow that misses. Jong Il uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ramos's guard. Nice move by Jong Il!
And that's the end of the fight! Baltazar Ramos showed his dominance in that final round. I think Jong Il has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
