Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anabol Asteroid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antti Sokka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Asteroid comes to the cage accompanied by Asteroid. Sokka has chosen Black Sun Aeon - Core of Winter as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asteroid misses with a leg kick

and Sokka counters with a nice double leg into side control. Asteroid won't be happy with that.
Sokka wants to control but Asteroid is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sokka is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Asteroid will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Asteroid is trying to control Sokka's posture but Sokka avoids it.
Asteroid is looking to regain half guard here but Sokka keeps moving and retains side control.
Sokka has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Asteroid!

Asteroid knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sokka on the ground.

Asteroid has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sokka is working away from the top position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Asteroid is trying to maintain the position but Sokka is very close to passing his half guard.
Sokka wants to take a breather but Asteroid is having none of it.
Asteroid is looking for a sweep. Sokka is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Sokka postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Sokka tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Asteroid smiles and moves away.

and Asteroid counters with a two punch combo.
Sokka has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Asteroid.
Sokka takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Asteroid wants to land a leg kick but Sokka is out of range.

Asteroid lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Anabol Asteroid is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Sokka shoots in but no luck this time.

Asteroid ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Sokka takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Asteroid jabbing away but nothing is landing.

and Sokka counters with an inside leg kick.
Asteroid swings away with a body shot that misses
and Sokka counters with a low kick, right behind Asteroid 's knee.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sokka throws a sloppy head kick and Asteroid moves out of range easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Sokka closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Asteroid's guard.
