Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mac Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antoni Hardonk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hardonk comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Requiem for a dream kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Alyssa Summers and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor blocks a head kick by Hardonk.
Taylor throws a lazy head kick
and Hardonk counters with a body kick.
Taylor gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Taylor will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hardonk tries a head kick but it misses.
Taylor feints and as Hardonk raises his hands in defense, Taylor changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Hardonk is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Taylor is controlling him.
Taylor knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hardonk on the ground.
Taylor trying to control the position from guard on top but Hardonk is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hardonk is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Taylor has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Taylor stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hardonk swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hardonk throws his legs up looking for a submission but Taylor uses it to pass to side control.
Hardonk tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Taylor wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Hardonk pushes Taylor away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Taylor gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hardonk is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Taylor lands a few punches from side control.
It looks like Antoni Hardonk has been cut.
Taylor tries for a kimura but Hardonk is defending well.
Taylor trying to control the action but Hardonk is working from the bottom.
Taylor cracks Hardonk with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Hardonk is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Taylor asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Taylor connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Hardonk some visible discomfort.
Hardonk manages to get back to half guard.
Hardonk looks gassed!

Taylor is trying to control the action in half guard but Hardonk is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Taylor is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Hardonk has managed to free his arm - good work.
Taylor throwing shots but Hardonk is blocking nicely.

Hardonk tries to kick Taylor off but Taylor keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Taylor is trying to control. Hardonk wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Taylor stops Hardonk from getting back to his feet.
Taylor is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Hardonk trying to hold on to Taylor's head to control him but Taylor postures up.
Hardonk looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Taylor lands with a punch from half guard.
Taylor content to control rather than advance.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Taylor looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hardonk with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Taylor lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Hardonk wants to get back to his feet.
Hardonk wants to control but Taylor is keeping busy.
Taylor is keen to just control but Hardonk is a slippery customer.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nice strikes from Taylor there.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Hardonk tries to kick Taylor off but Taylor keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Taylor closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Taylor lands in his opponent's guard.

Taylor is sitting in close to Hardonk's body. Hardonk has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Taylor is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Taylor is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Hardonk.
