Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Randy Marsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew Hughers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Randy Marsh is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Randy Marsh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Matthew Hughers! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Winston Howard and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marsh lands the left hand. Hughers shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Marsh counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Marsh throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hughers. Marsh throws a right hand that Hughers ducks under and follows up with a left that Hughers also avoids with ease. Marsh connects with a right hand. Hughers shakes it off. Hughers misses with a shot to the body and Marsh counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Hughers with a lazy takedown attempt and Marsh counters with a right hand to the body. Marsh thows a body shot but no joy. Marsh shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hughers napping and manages to drive through into side control! Hughers prevents Marsh from improving position. Hughers sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Marsh will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Marsh is just content to waste time from the top position. Hughers takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Marsh wants to control from the top but Hughers keeps moving. Hughers pushes Marsh off and gets back to his feet.
Hughers misses with a takedown and Marsh counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Randy Marsh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matthew Hughers. Hughers dodges the punch combination from Marsh.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hughers misses with a takedown and Marsh counters with a stiff right hand. Marsh swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Hughers. Hughers defending well as Marsh loads up on a big left hand. Marsh feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Hugherss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Marsh takes a swing at Hughers's ribcage but misses. Nice jab there from Marsh. Marsh scores with a jab. Hughers acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marsh tries a head kick but it misses.
Marsh is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Marsh connects with a single shot there. Marsh lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The crowd cheers as Marsh lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hughers doesn't seem phased though. Hughers shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Marsh counters with a shoot takedown. Hughers fights it but they end up in guard. Marsh trying to control the position from guard on top but Hughers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Marsh stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hughers swivels though and keeps the full guard. Marsh trying to control but Hughers is working from the bottom. Marsh stops Hughers from standing up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hughers is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Marsh has his hands clasped together but Hughers extends an breaks Marsh's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Hughers.
