Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Casey Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Devon Knowles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Casey Carwin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Devon Knowles! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knowles decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Carwin controlling the position well. Carwin trying to hold on to Knowles's head to control him but Knowles postures up.
Carwin is refusing to be controlled, as Knowles sits in half guard. Carwin wants to get back to full guard. Knowles throwing shots but Carwin is blocking nicely. Carwin trying to control from the bottom.
Carwin on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Carwin tries to get out of the position. Carwin is looking to improve his position.
Knowles wants to lay and pray for a moment but Carwin keeps working.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Knowles tries to clinch but Carwin is having none of it. Carwin throws a big shot that misses. Knowles moves in looking to clinch but Carwin pushes him off. Knowles closes the distance and clinches. Carwin lands a takedown into guard.
Carwin is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Carwin scoring with some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carwin trying to control the position from guard on top but Knowles is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Knowles throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Carwin looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Knowles is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Carwin looking to pass the guard. Carwin stopping the sweep attempt from Knowles. Carwin postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Knowles takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Knowles tries to clinch up but Carwin circles away and keeps his distance. Horrible takedown by Knowles or perhaps it was just good defense by Carwin which made him look bad. Knowles looks gassed! Knowles shoots in but Carwin avoids the takedown attempt easily. Knowles fails in his attempt to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carwin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Knowles takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Carwin keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Carwin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Knowles takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Carwin remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Knowles gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Knowles looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Carwin working over Knowles with some ground and pound. Knowles looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Knowles flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carwin not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Carwin working the head and body with strikes. Knowles is trying to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carwin landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Carwin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Knowles. Knowles ducks under a wild hook from Carwin. Carwin misses with the combination.
Carwin swats away the attempt to clinch by Knowles. Knowles shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Casey Carwin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Devon Knowles. Knowles throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Knowles is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Carwin listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Carwin throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Knowles fails with an attempt to clinch.
Knowles tries to clinch up but Carwin circles away and keeps his distance. Knowles is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Good shot there by Carwin. Knowles keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Carwin misses with a double jab
and Knowles counters with a single leg into guard. Carwin didn't expect that. Knowles preventing the sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carwin is trying to keep Knowles in close.
Knowles slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Carwin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Carwin throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Carwin lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Knowles! Carwin tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Carwin postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Knowles looks a forlorn figure.
Carwin raining down shots from the mount! Knowles is in all sorts of trouble here.
Carwin sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Carwin punishing his opponent with strikes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Carwin in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Carwin scoring with strikes but Knowles is staying in there. Knowles takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Casey Carwin dominated that round. That's time! Carwin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Knowles shoots and misses and Carwin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Carwin circles away from the clinch attempt.
Carwin is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Carwin lands a hook that stumbles Knowles back into the cage. Carwin follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Knowles to the canvas! Carwin pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Knowles has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Casey Carwin!
