Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Randel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cole Phelps (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Kurt Randel has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Kurt Randel seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kurt Randel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cole Phelps! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Randel shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Phelps pinned against the cage. Phelps gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Randel tries to close the distance and clinch up but Phelps swats him away and circles back towards the center. Phelps scores with a decent looking hook. Randel uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Phelps.
Phelps keeps the fight on the outside. Phelps rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Randel decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Phelps's guard. Randel is in close to Phelps's body, working some short punches and elbows. Randel postures up.
Randel trying to control the position from guard on top but Phelps is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Phelps working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Randel. Phelps tries to land a sweep but no joy. Phelps controls Randel momentarily but Randel frees himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Cole Phelps wasn't active enough on the ground. Phelps looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Phelps lands a body shot.
Randel has taken the fight to the clinch.
Phelps tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Randel just stands there and leans against the cage. Randel's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Randel as Phelps tries to tie him up. Randel jumps guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Randel pulls Phelps in close to prevent any damage. Randel can't keep his opponent in guard - Phelps advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Phelps is pressing down on Randel's thigh, looking to free his foot. Randel is holding on for now. Phelps looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Phelps wants to work for an arm triangle but Randel is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Phelps wants to lay and pray for a moment but Randel keeps working. Randel knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Phelps on the ground. Phelps works his way into full mount! Phelps trying to control but Randel is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Phelps is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Phelps unloads with some shots from mount but Randel bucks and avoids them well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kurt Randel will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Phelps misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Randel holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Randel tries to break free but Phelps pushes him back against the cage. Randel breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Phelps ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Phelps throws a shot to the body.
Phelps throws a shot from downtown. Randel moves away and avoids it. Phelps punishes Randel's body with a nice straight punch. Phelps throws out a loose jab but Randel uses good head movement to avoid it. Phelps wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Phelps ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Randel moves away. Phelps lands a slapping body shot.
Phelps tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Randel paws at him with a jab and circles away. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Randel steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Phelps. Phelps throws a lazy right hand but Randel sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Phelps throws a head kick but Randel moves out of range.
Phelps pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Randel back to the cage. Phelps follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Phelps.
Randel looks to clinch and Phelps counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Phelps misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Randel.
Phelps throws a series of punches but Randel moves out of range. Randel stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Phelps. Phelps lands a head kick. Randel smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Phelps throws a right and a left that Randel avoids nicely. Phelps throws a series of punches but Randel moves out of range. Phelps throws a leg kick which misses Randel's front leg but catches the back leg as Randel tries to avoid it. Phelps misses with a low kick as Randel jumps back. Phelps swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Phelps scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Horrible takedown by Randel or perhaps it was just good defense by Phelps which made him look bad. Randel uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Phelps. A right-left combo lands from Phelps. Phelps misses with an uppercut. Randel saw that one coming. Phelps throws a jab but it's blocked by Randel. Phelps is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Phelps swings for the body but Randel moves out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Phelps moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Phelps throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Phelps swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Phelps ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Randel moves away. No luck for Phelps with that takedown attempt. Phelps shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Randel as he avoids it easily. Phelps keeps the fight on the outside. Kurt Randel is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Phelps lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Randel has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Randel and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Phelps lands with a hook. Randel tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Phelps tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Randel was well out of range. Poor timing from Phelps. Phelps scores with a three punch combo!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Randel throws a head kick that Phelps semi-blocks.

Randel swats away the attempt to clinch by Phelps. Phelps scores with a jab to the jaw. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Phelps. Kurt Randel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cole Phelps. Phelps looks to clinch and Randel counters by moving into the clinch. Randel tries to break free but Phelps pushes him back against the cage. Randel wants a takedown.

Randel ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Phelps shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Randel holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Randel breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Cole Phelps has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Phelps shoots in looking for a takedown. Randel tries to sprawl out of it but Phelps keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Randel manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Randel uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Phelps.
Phelps throws a nice looking combination but Randel bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Randel clinches up with Phelps and pushes him back against the cage. Phelps prevents a takedown attempt there.
Phelps's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Phelps tries to clinch but Randel moves out of range. Phelps is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Randel. Phelps throws a right and a left that Randel avoids nicely. The fight moves into the clinch position. Randel wants a takedown.
Phelps is trying to push Randel away but Randel has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Randel tries for a takedown. No joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kurt Randel. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Randel is fighting to break Phelps's control of his arms but Phelps is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Phelps looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Randel is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Phelps trying to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Randel thows a big elbow that misses. Phelps looking to control.

And that's the end of the fight! Kurt Randel showed his dominance in that final round. I think Randel has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
