Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Travis Night!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cain Ramis!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Igor Prikhodko and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramis misses with a double jab
and Night makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Night steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Ramis. That one must have hurt.
Ramis throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Ramis lands a high kick!
Night misses with a body shot.
Night takes a kick to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Night throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Both fighters circling a little - Ramis finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

and Night counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Night checks a leg kick.
Ramis throws a right hand that misses
and Night counters with a stiff right hand.
Night is looking to clinch but Ramis is avoiding it.
Ramis misses with a kick to the body.
Night avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Ramis lands with a cross.
Night ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Ramis takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Night stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
The fighters circling - Ramis throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Night moves to clinch but Ramis breaks away
and Ramis counters with a good low kick that Night was not able to check.
Ramis connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

and Ramis cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Ramis moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Ramis crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Night - the referee stops the clock and Ramis gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Night. Ramis manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Night might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Well Ramis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
