Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chester Taylor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dan Larson! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Illya Tyunina and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Larson throws a one two combo.
Larson throws a combination that misses and Taylor counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Taylor throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Larson is trying to stand back up but Taylor is controlling him
Larson manages to escape and get back to his feet! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! No luck for Taylor with that takedown attempt. Larson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Taylor counters by clinching up. Larson is trying to break the clinch but Taylor is controlling him. Larson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Taylor has him pressed against the cage. Taylor breaks the clinch.

Larson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Dan Larson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Taylor shoots in and drives through. Larson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Taylor's guard. Nice move by Larson! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Larson wants to get up but he can't break Taylor's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Taylor is looking to sweep but instead, Larson has passed into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Larson decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Larson connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Taylor momentarily.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Larson throws a right and a left that Taylor avoids nicely. Larson cracks Taylor with a good jab. A nice combination there by Larson.

Dan Larson dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Taylor looking to score a takedown here. Larson is defending well but Taylor drives through and ends up in Larson's guard. Larson is looking to stand up but Taylor isn't so interested in that idea. Taylor is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Taylor thows a big elbow that misses. Larson wants to stand up but Taylor is controlling him. Larson keeping moving, preventing Taylor from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Larson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Larson fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Taylor is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Larson. Larson tries to bum rush Taylor with a series of wild strikes but Taylor uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Dan Larson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A left and a right from Larson both land. Nice combination. Oh Taylor is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Dan Larson seems to be getting the better of the standup. Larson displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Larson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Taylor tries to close the distance and clinch up but Larson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Larson thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Taylor if he has to take too many more of those.

Taylor closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Taylor prevents Larson from standing back up.

Chester Taylor has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Dan Larson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Taylor has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Taylor missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Chester Taylor. I think Larson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
