Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Draven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and RJ Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lopez has chosen Amazing as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Draven! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, RJ Lopez! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Draven fails to land the takedown. Draven shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lopez as he jumps to the side. Lopez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Draven paws at him with a jab and circles away. Lopez tries to keep at a distance but Draven has taken the fight into the clinch. Lopez has clasped his hands together around Draven's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Draven knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lopez on the ground. Draven is looking for a sweep. Lopez throws an elbow but Draven slips to the side and avoids it well. Lopez has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Lopez wants to control but Draven is keeping him busy. Draven is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Lopez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lopez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Draven struggling a bit here. Lopez lands a decent elbow from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Draven is looking for a sweep. Draven is working hard here to advance position. Lopez working the head with strikes. Draven wants to control but Lopez postures up. Lopez lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Draven wants to control but Lopez postures up.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Draven tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Draven throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Lopez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Draven wants to stand up but Lopez is controlling him. Lopez tries to free his leg and advance position but Draven is retaining full guard. Draven working a defensive guard here.
Lopez slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Draven is breathing heavily. Lopez thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Draven struggling a bit here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lopez looks up at the clock and then as Draven takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Lopez smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Draven tries to bench press Lopez off him but Lopez keeps the position. Lopez tries to advance to mount but can't. Draven struggling a bit here. Lopez tries for a kimura but Draven is defending well. Draven sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Draven tries to kick Lopez off but Lopez keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Draven wants to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lopez seems to be working for a kimura but Draven defends the submission attempt. Lopez is trying to work for a kimura but Draven is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lopez has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Draven defend it? Lopez steps over the head and cranks it - Draven is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Lopez!
