The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Alexandre Firmino and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Builder bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
An inside leg kick from Builder misses.
Builder tries to close the distance and clinch but Barros swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Builder misses with a head kick.
Barros looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Builder darts in trying to clinch
and Builder takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Builder tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Builder wants to clinch but Barros slips to the side
and Barros counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Builder slaps away a takedown attempt from Barros, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Builder throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Builder fails in his attempt to clinch.
Builder tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Barros manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Builder closes the distance but Barros moves to the side
and Barros counters with a big head kick but Builder shrugs it off.
Builder tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Barros counters with a single leg into guard. Builder didn't expect that.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Builder wants to sweep but no luck.
Barros scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Barros postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Builder is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Barros, into his guard.
Builder wants to control from the top but Barros keeps moving.
Builder must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Builder in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Builder stops Barros from standing up.
Builder is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Barros is looking to stand up but Builder isn't so interested in that idea.
Barros keeping moving, preventing Builder from controlling successfully.
Barros wants to stand and escape but Builder is having none of it.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Bob Builder has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Builder tries to close the distance and clinch but Barros swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Builder lands a two punch combo.
It looks like Markus Barros has been cut.
Bob Builder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Builder lands a big right hand that sends Barros crashing to the mat! Builder stays standing though and waves Barros back to his feet!
Barros is rocked!
Builder tries to close the distance and clinch but Barros swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Oh Barros is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Horrible takedown by Barros or perhaps it was just good defense by Builder which made him look bad.
Barros seems to have got his legs back now.
Barros backs away from a small jab...but Builder lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Barros crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Builder with a spectacular finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Bob Builder!
