Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brad Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vinny Olecranon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nelson comes to the cage accompanied by Black Flood Diesel - Lost Cause. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Brad Nelson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Vinny Olecranon!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Sam Margolis and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Olecranon pushes Nelson up against the cage in a clinch.
Olecranon lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
With the fighters up against the cage, Olecranon throws an elbow but misses.
The referee calls for Olecranon to work.
Nelson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Olecranon walks away with a smile on his face. Nelson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Olecranon gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Olecranon keeping moving, preventing Nelson from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nelson drops back looking for a leg! Olecranon is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Olecranon manages to kick Nelson off! Nelson jumps back into Olecranon's guard.

Nelson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Olecranon is keeping the position for now.

Nelson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Olecranon is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Olecranon has escaped and now he's on top!

Olecranon stands and steps away. Nelson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

and Nelson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Olecranon!

Nelson has control of Olecranon's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Olecranon regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Nelson is working for a guillotine from mount but Olecranon frees his head quite easily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Nelson thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Nelson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Olecranon is looking to escape.
Nelson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Nelson counters with a shoot takedown. Olecranon fights it but they end up in guard.

Nelson drops back looking for a leg! Olecranon is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Olecranon manages to kick Nelson off! Nelson jumps back into Olecranon's guard.

Nelson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Nelson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nelson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Nelson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Nelson looking to sit in guard and control but Olecranon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Nelson has his foot on Olecranon's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Olecranon works his way back into a safe position though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nelson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Olecranon is aware though and is defending well.
Olecranon trying to stand up but can't free himself from Nelson's guard.

Nelson looking for a guillotine here but Olecranon defends easily.

Nelson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Nelson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Olecranon is looking to escape.
Nelson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Olecranon's head.

Nelson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Olecranon has managed to free his arm - good work.

Nelson is taking a breather. Olecranon says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Nelson is really struggling to control Olecranon but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Nelson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Nelson frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Olecranon is trying desperately to improve position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Nelson wants to pass the guard but Olecranon is keeping the position.

Nelson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Olecranon is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Nelson, into his guard.

Olecranon must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Nelson has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Olecranon doesn't defend quickly enough and Nelson has managed to lock this one up! Can Olecranon escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Nelson on a fantastic submission victory.
