The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Rising pushes Deathgrip away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Deathgrip gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Deathgrip is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rising is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Rising really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Deathgrip. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rising is looking to reverse the position.

Deathgrip is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rising is just riding it out for now. Deathgrip eventually gives up the hold.
Rising tries to get to full guard but Deathgrip has control of the leg.
